Replica STi Wing on Gruppe-S Website

Has anyone purchased this replica wing from gruppe-s? They are selling it for $650 + Free Shipping. The price is still massively high, but I guess it's better than the 1K+ price for the genuine one. Anyways, does anyone have this replica wing installed on their car? How is the quality? Thanks.

it doesnt fit the stock holes on WRX's.

Actually, the front ones do. The rear ones are off my like 2 inches but covered by the plastic cap it brings.
I might get one but also I got a buyer for my OEM wing willing to swap trunk lids so I can start from scratch:devil:

here is one by arospeed....very closely resembles the STi wing...its even called an ST wing...and it can be had for about 300...

I've got the genuine STi CF wing sitting on my dining room table (and boy does it have a ton of downforce now, lol :p ). This thing is beautiful! I will be installing it this weekend. That arospeed wing doesnt really look all that much like it IMO. I'm not sorry I bought the real deal... thanks to Suby Dude for hooking me up!

Yeah, the side pieces on the real STi wing are molded as part of the wing (and I'm sure on the replica too)... the ones on the Arospeed look really cheesy (again, IMHO).... there is also no way that Arospeed is made of real CF for $300. :confused:

CF is not expensive at all, who ever said it was? Besides Arospeed is all about mass production, poor matierials, and bad quality overall.

i have seen subydudes car up close on many occations, and the wing kicks major butt.
still, i cant justify spending over 1G for a wing:)

I installed my STI CF wing this morning and I must say that it looks great and looks nothing like the Aerospeed CF wing which a local import performance shop has on their civic. The main reason I finally decided to buy it is that if I sold the car I could install the factory spoiler in its place, with the gruppe-s spoiler the holes wouldn't line up unless they fix this problem.

Hey Jim, was the install easy? Mine goes on tomorrow. :D I spent this evening installing a GFB BOV and got owned by the hose clamp. :lol:

Ahh well, rice is in the eye of the beholder. lol IMO, every wing available for the WRX can be considered "ricey" by someone. I usually hate gt-style wings, and I was very reluctant to buy the STi one (especially at $1300) but when it showed up and I saw it in person... I was totally sold. This thing is sweet as he!!. :) I think it would look dumb on a stock WRX, but it should match the rest of my car very well (V2 Lip, ZeroSports grille, bronze subzeros, STi scoop, STi projectors...) :alien:

Ahh well, rice is in the eye of the beholder. lol IMO, every wing available for the WRX can be considered "ricey" by someone. I usually hate gt-style wings, and I was very reluctant to buy the STi one (especially at $1300) but when it showed up and I saw it in person... I was totally sold. I have the wing, i got there first one, the plastic cap will NOT cover 1 of the holes from the stock wing, i didn't care because i would rather have the holes filled anyway, but just so everyone knows, you will need to fill the trunk lid and redrill it if you have the stock wing, The wing looks the same as the sti wing, it doesn't look like the aerospeed wing at all
