SSR Professors look good on Sonic Yellow?

Hey guys, I was wondering what you would think if I got SSR Professors in black on my Sonic Yellow WRX. I wanted something darker to match with my JDM headlights when I get them. Just tell me what you think. Here's the pic:

Those wheels are scary! I think it'd look good, and definately unique

I see those on a Silvia more than a rex... Give em a try though!

Those wheels would look good on a polished turd.....

Thanks for the opinions. Does anyone have any pics of these on a WRX (doesn't matter about color)? Or can someone photoshop them onto any WRX for me? Thanks and keep it coming with the opinions on the rims.

they are nice looking wheels, but I doubt they'll look as nice on a rex, when compare with sylvia or skylines.
| Kitt | 12-08-2003 02:34 PM |
Those will look really good on any color WRX.
The wheels are so nice it will look good on an SRT-4   :p

Yes... those wheels will look great... buy them now.

IMO, the SSR Professors are THE wheel to get right now, esp for the WRX, which there are limited applications for. They would look AWESOME on just about any color WRX, incl bright hues like WRB, Aspen White, & Sonic Yellow.
There are LOTS of WRX's w/VOLKS out there (incl mine), but if I were about to buy new wheels, these SSR's would be it! Relatively lightweight, exceptional build quality, and exclusiveness....what more do you need?? :)

Aight guys, I decided that I'm gonna get them. Can I fit 18X8.5's with 225 tires under my fenders? With this cause any rubbing issues with the struts or the fenders? Thanks guys.

it shouldnt rubb. ..good choice on the rims...cant wait to see pic

Yes, pictures please. If I had the extra money, I would have gotten them too, rather than my Volk 57-Pros.
| ej20love | 12-09-2003 03:49 PM |
they are sweet but on a yellow car? it wont look good. you need gold rimes w a yellow car. sweet rims though.... not on a suby
| Night Kid | 12-09-2003 04:03 PM |
just remember, you wont have much of a lip on the Professors for the WRX because of the highass offset compared to ones that fit Silvias, other RWDs. So that might be one factor to consider.
| GoRacerXGo | 12-09-2003 04:19 PM |
The offset is +49 for 18X8s (I think I'm gonna go with those), not the best, but I think it'll look alright.
| GoRacerXGo | 12-09-2003 04:21 PM |
Here's the only pic I could find of these rims. Its a crappy angle, but that's all I found. I think they'll look sweet.

I think these look amazing!!!! I also have volks, but if I hit the jackpot and could afford another set of nice rims again I would go with these!!! There is a pic somewhere of a white 04 WRX with polished professors and it looks awesome, try a search.

nice, but keep in mind that has the W_I_D_E body fenders, so the wheels are probably not the same specs (FATTER lip) as the ones you're considering--18x8 w/+49 offset

What does anyone think about me going with the 18X8.5 setup (+47 offset)? Would that be worth it just to try to get a fatter lip? Can anyone give me their opinions about my rubbing against the strut if my car is lowered? Thanks guys.
| MAD REX | 12-10-2003 05:57 PM |
I love those wheels
| WReX'n'Effect | 12-10-2003 08:17 PM |
i have 18 x 8.5 with a +44, no rubbing here, there are a lot of people running this setup. Oh and yeah it does give you more of a lip.
| WReX'n'Effect | 12-10-2003 08:17 PM |
oops double post.

Just an FYI those are NOT the SSR Professors, they actually are Work Meister S1 (2 piece) on the ASTe car.
Needless to say I personally think both the SSR and Work wheels are incredible looking yet very expensive.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I thought they were a different wheel, but whatever. Both still look sweet!

225 40 18's...they will work, but the sidewall will have a bit of a stretch to it.
