hmm...on that car it doesn't look half bad.
i'm not too keen on the 1997 impreza so i'm not sure how it would look.
main point here...if you like it, get it. its your car and you can do what you want to it. But if you want respect from everyone you've gotta do it justtttt right.

The RS I just bought has that wing - looks good IMO. I wouldn't have bought an aftermarket wing for the car, but it does look nice now that it's on there.

imho the only things that should go on the rear of any WRX/STi is either the factory option spoiler for a WRX or the 22b-replica wing.

i got it from partstrain.com...first it was 170 somehting for shipped but when i opened it it didnt have a brake light and it was suppsoe to. so ic alled them up told them and they gave me a discount..it was like 100 somehting..not much passed 100

22b replica is nice but why on earth spend money on it when you could put that money towards suspension or an engine transplant? if you already have both of those i say go for it,but until then i'd only do it if you NEED it, not just want it.

why spend ANY money towards useless body panels at all? I'm the type of guy who goes for pure performance and no rice, but this IS the interior+exterior section of the forum, there are plenty of people here who probably spend more money on body panels than actual performance parts.

:) I like that wing on the first post too. As far as wings and things that don't make go faster, a few years ago I would have said ditch 'em, but man they look good and helps complete the look and makes your car..Yours. So why not? I am going to lose the Wrx wing and go with a STi kind and a scoop and diverter from an Sti. Why, because it makes the car go faster? No, but it looks good going or standing still. Looks like a bargain to me. Just my 2 cents. Bling away and have fun. Still will do suspension and other mods too, but got to have the looks too. :D Love this board with everyones ideas etc. :D

i hear that... but he has a 1997 impreza, which means unless he's swapped engines, he's still at less than 130hp at the crank.
and no swaybars.

i'm just saying(and take it from me, i've spent a lot more on stereo stuff, all of which got stolen, than i ever spent on engine) that from my point of view, it's unnecessary.
newsubie- are you sure you want the OEM stuff? if i were you i'd get a Japanese front lip instead of the splitters... they look way better and you won't have to tell people "oh no it's not an STI" when they ask.
(take it from me, even without a hoodscoop people still said "nice wrx!")
