oh man that tiburon was BOMBING past the spectator area for stage 1. rediculously fast, i don't think he was straight even once the whole time. no1 matches their speed all day at that spot in my opinion.

Morgan, you have humbled me yet again. I watch you stand 20 feet away, you make art and I make crap :( My BDC photos were tolerable to view, but I got almost nothing this weekend. Oh well, I guess these things take time...In a couple months I'll get to see how much of it is my skill vs. equipment, I'm planning on getting two Canon 10D with 16-35 f/2.8L USM and 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM, that seems to me to be a decent setup for sports photography. And then I'll try to talk Tara into pulling some strings to get me a press pass for Rally America :) hey I work cheaper than you.
Again, great shots, always look for yours first from any rally.

I was looking all over for ya at the PArc Expose to take a couple pics of Darlena(Rally TV girl) cuz you do such great "people" shots... Where was ya? (Probly out on stage...)
Did you happen to get any when we werent looking? I already had someone ask about a poster of her...

I was in around the parc expose for a couple of hours but I left right before the stage started.
I am not sure I got anything of her, I don't know what she looks like

Yeah, to bad they had to cheat to "win". I'm glad someone finally said something and they got that 10 min penalty and got what they deserved!

Ha, me and my buddies were marshaling on stage 4 and we talked to her for a while. She was pretty cool. When the second car on the course came around the bridge on that stage she was standing in the creek bed and almost got wacked when the car came by. Scared her pretty bad but she seemed to be a good sport. I'm sure she got a great shot of that car as it came by.

Yeah the vett looked real sweet until it ended up in the ditch on stage four. The next morning it was a sad site for sure. They almost did not let them run but they got everything "fixed" and got to run. That thing was awsome to watch!

Press release to follow, but the main point is we took 2nd in Grp. N and 10th overall. :) We had a team of three cars entered, 2 in Pro, 1 in club.
In Pro Otis Dimiters and Peter Monin 'broke in' the new Grp N. car fresh back from the shop after the incident at STPR (VT Sportscar repaired the cage and North Coast fixed the rest). It was the same car Otis ran at STPR, but the original 2002 skin was put back on. The rocky roads bent up a few control arms, and one rock put a big dent in the floor plan, but over all the car held up great!
We also serviced for Bruce Davies and Jimmy Brant in a rented WRX PGT car, and they took 2nd in class and 22nd overall - congrats! Bruce went very easy on the car and managed not to break anything while setting a respectable pace.
In club, Eugeniusz Michniuk and Grzegorz Dorman entered Eugene's newly finished WRX PGT car under the North Coast banner. Unfortunately, they found some loose rocks and went off 9 miles into the first stage on Saturday. Eugene was still in good spirits, with Greg assuring us that "the car is _really_ fast!"

So THAT'S why I never saw them :( I was working the (bus in) spectator point about 10.5 miles into Stage 5 (the first one Saturday morning) and wondered why they didn't come past. They weren't the only ones running the culb (only) who didn't make it to the end of the stage :huh:

yeah, you guys were awsome, but the team i was crewing for was more awsome! LOL ;) Wall and green finished 1st in pgt in the club winning by something like 10 mins!!! :lol: Anyway, it was great fun to watch everyone. I have some pics of darlena but they are not very good... If i can figure out how to post them...
