Patrick L 11-29-2005 01:09 PM

4/1 Little Rock, AR National Tour
4/8 Little Rock, AR Pro Solo

These are at Walnut Ridge, AR
KC 11-29-2005 01:15 PM

9 ProSolos. Gotta love it... but all wayyyyy too far this year for 3 events.

Looks like it's going to be:
SD Tour (Co-Drive)
Devens Tour

And that's it. :( DC is the closest at just over 400 miles.

2/18 Ft. Myers, FL National Tour (1479MI)
4/1 Little Rock, AR National Tour (1472MI)
5/27 Peru, IN National Tour (934MI)
6/10 Devens, MA National Tour (75 MI)
7/1 Milwaukee, WI National Tour (1076MI)

2/25 Miami, FL Pro Solo (1493MI)
4/8 Little Rock, AR Pro Solo (1472MI)
6/3 Peru, IN Pro Solo (934MI)
6/24 Washinton, DC Pro Solo (423MI)

Toledo was 758 miles (gone)
Oscoda was 875 and (gone)
Atlanta was 1084. (gone)

Once I hit 1K miles for one way, a line has to get drawn.

hmm... i wonder why oscoda is gone??

Form Jason Isley on SCCA Forums:
Just talked with the GM of solo2 and these dates are not 100% firm. The socal dates wont be firm till mid Dec. Also Miami may not yet have a site so it may not happen. UT may have an issue with an air show so it may get tweaked.
KC 11-29-2005 01:54 PM

One bonus... less vacation time being used.

I think I'll be going to a WRC event someplace again this year. :D

I assume it's the "Walnut Ridge" near Little Rock, as opposed to the "Walnut Ridge" near the northeast border? Mapquest brought up 2 possible Walnut Ridges.

Anyone heard anything about how many Pros qualify for the Series?
KC 11-29-2005 02:03 PM

It's near Little Rock I believe... hence calling them the 'Little Rock' tour and ProSolo. ;)
10th Warrior 11-29-2005 02:28 PM

the Walnut Ridge in question is near the NE border with mighty MO. That's where the Tour was last year. Very nice site and very supportive locals :)

THen why are they calling it 'Little Rock'?

Confuzzled
10th Warrior 11-29-2005 02:59 PM

don't know, but I was at the event this past year.
mccanixx 11-29-2005 03:11 PM

There is no pro-solo license, for more than one this year? Or is that just the rumor mill again?

Now where did I read that.

Oh ya here it was:http://sccaforums.com/forums/162505/ShowPost.aspx

Read that also on SCCA forums that they were looking into it. I don't know if it's final yet tho.
jcroy66 11-29-2005 03:30 PM

I thought the only part that was in "question" was about whether refunds would be given, if you'd already renewed. And Cindy later answered (on SCCA.com) that refunds would only be given for Pro licenses that would have been for the 2006 season. So if someone finally got his license at the Finale so that he was allowed to compete, then that was for the 2005 season, not for 2006, and no refunds would be given.

I will be at the Ft. Myers, FL National Tour event and the Miami, Fl ProSolo event if it happens. When I saw the Miami event today I started wondering where they were going to put it also. I sure hope they find a good place in time to keep it on the schedule. Will have to introduce myself to you KC at least at the Ft. Myers event.

I move close enough to ATL to go and it gets axed. My luck doesn't seem to be improving. :(

Yep, I guess I indeed did misread it and I do not blame you at all. Oh well, hopefully see you at nationals then.

No, it's the Walnut Ridge near Little Rock. The other WR in question on mapquest is in very NE AR. The Little Rock is probably cause that is the region running it. It's at the airport north of town.

It is being hosted by GCAC at Buckingham Field. Just go to GCAC website and you will see the section on the National tour Event. The map is not accurate to where the exact site is.
ratt_finkel 11-30-2005 09:57 AM

F'n sweet, see everyone at both of the TX and both of the AR events.

There is no Little Rock Region, its all Arkansas Region. From what I can tell, all their big events have been at the NE Walnut Ridge (NT, Tri-state). Their smaller events are at War Memorial Stadium. Plus, given the local support for the Tour last year, its kind of hard to imagine it moving to some other Walnut Ridge.

Patrick L 11-30-2005 07:01 PM

Well year, lame ass mapquest directed to a Walnut Ridge in farther NE Arkansas. I didn't realize they fixed it.

But it's all good as I know where to go, KC. I am looking forward to the Pro and Tour. The problem in the dumasses in the Midiv that have scheduled events on that date and the Topeka Divisional. There are PDE's on each of these dates at Heartland and Hallett. There is another one at Heartland in July but last time I did that. They had 104 degree highs.
omahasubaru 12-01-2005 09:36 AM

That's odd that they list it as little rock, but it's not anywhere near it.

Rather confusing if you ask me.

I'm Planning to make the NT in AR, where ever it ends up.

my guess is its all part of the vast SCCA conspiracy. I'll bet they sent another email with the correct info to the BMW/Mazada drivers since we all know they get preferential treatment. KC must not of gotten it because they still had him down as a Subie guy. I'll bet he had to fax in his title for the 8 to get the real info :)

Denver
Back in the good ole days "Denver Solo Week - old Stapleton" was a blast. Does anyone know what site is used in Denver now and will they try and have other events through the week as done in the past?
