2006 STI Front Grill

Hey guys, I've a total noob question for you. How do you take off the front grill on a 2006 STI? My 02 was simple but this one has me stumped.

The center grill on the '06 is secured by clips and fasteners. Open the hood, remove the top fasteners, and pull the grill out horizontally (not up). There should be two clips on the sides.

Be careful when you pull out the side grills one of mine broke when i took it out.

a lot. $1000's
the radiator support panels, grille pieces, hood, hood scoop, lights, fenders, bumper, fog covers & side splitters all need to be swapped.

enough that putting the rear diffuser on an 05 would be a better solution.

Complete front end ~ hood and both front fenders. Big $$$... if some one has a wire mesh made, that could be the ticket to making the face a bit tougher. I'd like to see that. :D

does anyone have pics of the grill inserts removed and replaced with some black metal mesh, kinda like the STi and liberal grilles for bugeyes. Not that ugly silver mesh you see all the time?

are you trying to figure out what it would look like if you just left your grilles off?
if you are, i think it would look horrible. you'd have all those tab acceptors there and the shape would be all off... and your hood latch would be exposed too.

Thanks for the pictures... those pictures worth about a 1,000 words. I was able to remove my side grill and rip the STI badge off the front. (Damn that thing was a bizatch to get off!)
