No, looks sick the way it is. I say you find that kid and bash his face in with the log, that will be sweet revenge. But anyways, I really like your car the way it is, especially the rims.

well since you have to replce anyways.... may as well, but cf hood and psm scoop would look the best.

Mmmm...it depends, was the that log jdm? Becuz then those dent's would add major horsepower :lol: God I feel your pain...my first mod was some punk that tore off my hood scoop and dented the hood. I considered the cf but decided not to. Get CF and paint it...that would look hawt.

I wouldn't. Its no lighter than the stocker hood, requires hood pins, etc. And, it would force you into Street Mod for AutoX.

I just installed a Seibon CF hood on my car this weekend, love it. I will say that it looks better in person that in pictures. If you do go with the CF hood route I would stick with the CF scoop, JMO I think it looks a little better the the mix and matching. CF is one of those things you either like it or you don't.

If it is for looks? it is for sure up to u, but i vote no. The weight is close from aluminum to CF. On some impreza's w/ stock steel hoods, CF is a great investment.
But, I was getting appraised for hail damage and the replacement cost for the stock WRX aluminum hood was about $585.00 dollars, you COULD save money buying a CF hood.
I'm in yur shoes, kinda undecided

OK, so I'm definitely partial to CF hoods, since I have a VIS one on my car and I think it looks absolutely fantastic:

That said, on a silver car it may look odd... You might want to consider painting it... And while on my GC8 that hood saved 20 pounds off my heavy front, on your Aluminum hooded WRX the weight savings would be very minimal. The main reason I would do it would be because of strength, or if you really like the look of CF, which I personally do.

keep them coming guys! You are the ones who are deciding for me. As for autocross I dont mind... I already am in some race catagory.. due to all my mods. And i honestly dont plan to race it much. Its coming down to getting a carbon hood for less than 400.00 with the STI carbon scoop, or pay 500.00 and get a STI alum. hood and than the STI Scoop. I also than have to report it to my insurance if i take the sti hood

If you get CF on the pretty silver car.. paint it silver.. on second thought, just keep the aluminum hood. Whenever I see a WRX with a carbon hood I think the owner can't drive, because wrecking the front end is the only reason to consider a carbon hood on one.

Well, if you dont care about your AutoX class, then it comes down to the insurance thing. I would avoid dealing with insurance, and just get the CF hood then, if you like the looks (I do). Just make sure you get hood pins.

Well i think i decided.... im going to have the body shop order me in the STI hood which is a bit lighter if I heard right... and paint it silver! I think she looks to clean to mess it up with carbon fiber... and if i go to sell it with stock wheels and a carbon hood it will look fugly.

You could always get a CF hood and have them spray it with a very light coating of PSM and then have them clearcoat it a lot - then you would have that look where the hood ooks silver from some angles and cf from others - not many people go that route either but I have seen it on some cars and damn does it look hot.
