Clean engine bays??

I've been familiar with snaking some of the electrical wires behind the fenders too get that clean look. I've yet to see a "clean", subie engine bay where it's not a monsters nest of wires and vac lines

What wires are you trying to hide?

If you hide functional wires, hoses and lines, you also risk hiding any problems that may occur. The car in the pictures above have as many wires and hoses as all of our cars, he's just got them dressed up.
To me a clean engine bay is in the syock form without all of the bling.

there were a ton of wires that were taken out, re ran, hiden, moved, etc.,...but some wires there is nothing you can do about...but if you saw the pile we removed you would be like holy cow:alien:

This is making me want to take some picture of the inside of my computer. I mean, it makes anything else just seem so clean.

ive seen older honda engine bays cleaned up with no wires showing, but theres not too much to a b series motor..........subies seem pretty impossible to hide ALL of the wires and hoses.

I don't quite see the point in having a plastic cover over the engine.
(my engine bays are anything but clean - 18 month old caked mud in one and years of gravel roads in the other)

I dont see the point in hiding wires and hoses anyways. I imagine if you start packing all that away its just going to make it that much more difficult when you need to get in there to do something. I guess its cool for show, but some people expect too much. Its not a muscle car where the only wires you see are the plug wires.

exactly, but really its an engine, they look fine with wires here and there just run em clean and call it a day.
side note: engine covers :( I want to see my motor when i pop the hood, not another hood.

I don't stare at my engine, but I don't want it hidden underneath a bit of plastic. Just one more thing to pull off when I have to get in there.

I don't mind as there are only ~2-4 pop-its per cover, and I haven't had to remove any in ~4 months. :p

I'll admit, I was a lot more confident hiding wires in my old Honda. Still, the impreza offers a lot of opportunity to clean up the engine bay.
Unfortunately pics don't do it justice.
:(
