I was in line almost the whole day yesterday with GJ Dixon, who won New York last year, so when it came time for the competiton runs, Caroline (the Announcer) would single out me and GJ.
GJ was right in front of me for his second run, I was on my 1st and she was like 'Just watch these guys... 2 city winners going back to back.' I went out on my 1st run, came in and I literally heard everyone fromt he stands shouting... I was 2/10ths off the pro time, on my 1st run! Gj did a great run too... but wow.
It was a good day. Can't wait for Boston... it's open to anyone now up here.

Good luck with the rest of the competition. Are you doing just the Boston event, or are you gonna take advantage of cheap seat time? I'd imagine your mug is gonna be on the wall at most every Mazda dealership as someone to NOT allow test drives to....;)

So far there's three... Daddio (D.C.), Karter Bollman (Houston) and myself (NY). Pat Salerno is in the lead for the 'non-city winner', but I'm thinking he's going to be near the top here in Boston this weekend... but he's going to have some other tight competition from GJ Dixon (Last years NY winner), Rob LaPierre, and I think Chang too.. and a host of others from the region that are also good drivers.
Now Mike King... he'll probably be back too, but he's also got some stiff competition down in FL. That leaves Philly and Atlanta and one of the FL cities... So I'm looking at about 5-7 of us returning, probably.
