my car got stinkbombed!

yeah, it sucks. last night, i had to run in the mall to pick someone up, so i parked right in the parking spot closest to the mall doors, and ran in for not even 30 seconds, just long enough step inside the door and tell my friend to leave, and i walked right back to my car. i got in and it smelled TERRIBLE. i didn't think much of it at first because there is a natural gas plant close to this mall and it's not rare to smell weird scents. so anyways, i dropped my friend off and met up with some of my friends at arby's. i reach to the back seat to get my jacket, and when i picked up the jacket, i found the stink bomb. it was in a fairly large sized pouch, around 14 ounces if i had to guess. to get these to work, you have to shake the bag up and leave it laying somewhere, then some time later it explodes and the stuff goes everywhere. i found a big white spot stretching from the backrest part of the seat to the bottom that is about 8 inches in diameter, and it is disgusting. i went and got some napkins to try and clean it up but it didn't work. i went out this morning, thinking the spot would disappear but it didn't. any ideas on how to get this out of my car?
oh, and i asked around and found the guy that did it. it's a guy that drives a riced out cavalier. i tried to flag him down but he took off, and later on i was sitting at a red light, getting ready to take a left and be on my way home when i saw him drive by, so i pulled out behind him and followed him to a wendy's, where he met up with a carload of people that apparently were going to jump me, and all i was going to do was talk to him about it. oh well.

Drama Drama!
Call the police and make up a story about him, but not really. Just be persistent and meet up with him. Dont go down to his level and do anything to his POS car though. I definitely wouldnt be nice about the meet up. Hell, see if you can get some money out of this kid.
Sounds like you guys are in high school?

dashboard and sti - calling the cops really wouldn't do much good, seeing as how a cop always stands around where my car was parked at, and was there last night, and i know him really well. i just need to get this stuff outta my car

Should have called the cops when you were following him. He vandalized your ride, he should have to pay for it.

Forgive me, but I don't believe I've ever encountered that kind of stink bomb. Are they liquid or powder inside? If its liquid here is what I'd do..
First, rent a Bissell unless you have access to a extractor from somewhere else.
Vacuum everything, especially the localized stain area x 2
Pretreat (Is it an oily or greasy residue? CitriSolv works great on oily stains, if not maybe something like Folex which you can get at Home Depot) Test your chemical in a hidden area first, if all goes well, treat the spot as well as the immediate fabric and let it sit for about 15 minutes or so.
If you rent a Bissell, get some of their upholstery shampoo that works in the tank.
Extract. Twice. Maybe three times. Don't, however, saturate the area with water. When you use the extractor spray the solution on the down stroke so that you are sucking it out immediately after it hits the fabric (Does that make sense? Essentially what you are trying to do is stop the water from carrying whatever is causing the smell deeper into the upholstery)
Set up a couple fans to dry out the material. The faster it dries the less the moisture will wick up the contaminant to the surface.
If its a powder, then a good vacuuming may be all that is needed. Maybe sprinkle some baking soda over the area let it sit for a hour or so, then vacuum.
That should help at least diminish the smell, but I've also used odor bombs, with some success to help alleviate problem odors.

Good luck, I hope you are able to get it out!

i pushed the lock button, but i guess it didn't lock. regardless, there were security guards and cameras all over the place, but nothing was done about it. it doesn't matter now though, i've gotten the stain and smell out and all is well.

I would still make a police report, keep your options open for the future. It's good to have documentation in case something similar happens again.

the kid still doesn't deserve to get away without paying the consequences. I say you tell him to meet you somewhere alone (otherwise call him a *****) and threaten to sue him and tell him you have video footage and everything...and then offer to settle it out of court for 300 bucks
:)

Just tell him that he's not very nice. That will teach him.
Seriously though, I'm glad that you got out the stain and the smell. If I had a Cavalier, then I would be an a-hole to everyone too...it's only because I would hate myself for not only having one, but ricing one out.
