I want this kit!
epson1 09-17-2006 08:38 PM

that last picture of the wing makes it look fugly
M!key 09-17-2006 08:42 PM

the rear stick on fenders look bad on the rear door in that front shot. you can see how much they stick out. too bad they cant just end up flush with the front door.
sheepdog 09-17-2006 08:51 PM

That could easily be fixed by a good body place, if you are going to the trouble to go widebody might as well do a little extra work.

That 05 kit looks knarly!!!! The 06 one looks sick too, minus the wing I think.
epson1 09-17-2006 08:52 PM

actually now that i think about it that wide kit looks like cat pee. the rear sticks along ways out. almost too far out but hey its just my opinion
M!key 09-17-2006 09:28 PM

you have a good point there.
hornyturbo 09-17-2006 10:06 PM

u need some camber
Ghosthound 09-17-2006 11:32 PM

can someone please explain to me why they are using such a wide wheel with tires that DONT MATCH??? everytime i see this kit i notice 2 things... the crappy back stick on fenders and the FREAKING UGLY WHEEL/TIRE setup. is there a valid reason for this??
schooby 09-17-2006 11:34 PM

lol wow, my thing is the V-limit lip and thats all i need.
chris-man 09-17-2006 11:47 PM

nice kit..the wing looks as if it weights 100 pounds.
Crawdads 09-18-2006 12:23 AM

I agree...its got that stupid stretched tire look that veedubbers love so much...it looks asinine.

of course the rear flares are an easy enough fix, just have them molded in...what is this thing made out of?
JIN 09-18-2006 12:27 AM

The rear wing is really very very ugly.
WRXDriftR 09-18-2006 12:41 AM

those wheels look so weird
maramaralula 09-18-2006 03:57 AM

the rear wing looks alright in this pic

maramaralula 09-18-2006 04:05 AM

i agree though, the wheels are ugly, and i think the wing looks a little bigger than the real WRC car.

Just wondering, how much lighter is carbon fiber compared to regular fender + body material?
Spec_C 09-18-2006 06:51 AM
that last picture of the wing makes it look fugly
i agree:huh: looks killer in black tho:D
JBravo920 09-18-2006 08:46 AM

IMHO the lower grill, the extra piece on the hood, and the wing all work in combination to make this the ugliest kit i have ever seen...my .02
js3324 09-18-2006 04:45 PM

Isnt 8,000 for the carbon kit? The other material is only something like 4000? I think I rather have the APR kit, if only for the confidence they are actually in America..
captain spaulding 09-18-2006 08:01 PM

it looks like crap cause the car isn't nearly as low as it should be for it to look right..
bessie 09-18-2006 08:59 PM
the rear wing looks alright in this pic
It does not look alright...its just easily dismissed because its an actual race car. On a street car when looks really tend to count...it just looks ugly. Widebodies are nice but I just see poor execution. I'm sure they didn't put a bigger rear bumper so that the consumers can cut cost..but at the expense of it flowing right.
gtoneil665 09-19-2006 12:06 AM

Off topic but, why is the exhaust on the right side?
Ghosthound 09-19-2006 12:57 AM
Off topic but, why is the exhaust on the right side?
ive heard that the exhaust on the wrc impreza uses equal length headers... but i dont know why that makes the tip come out of the right instead of the left...
STix66 09-19-2006 01:26 PM

Slammed FTL!!
The camber on the wheels in that first pic is laughable and ugly!

I dont get the the slammed look at all.

Kit is aight'.

I personally love the wheels.
InfamousDX 09-19-2006 02:39 PM

don't like those rear flares
veightkiller 09-19-2006 02:41 PM

pricey!
MidnightBlackPearl 09-19-2006 02:54 PM

I like the front half, but the stock rear bumper looks terrible on there--it's so small! And those rear fender flares are hideous, as is the wing...
The Blue Pilot 09-19-2006 03:20 PM

wing = disturbing
sb427f-car 09-19-2006 06:07 PM
Off topic but, why is the exhaust on the right side?
Where is the turbo on these cars? My guess is fuel tank or other prohibiting factors or just easier to run it out the right side instead of the left.
Capt Crunch 09-19-2006 07:36 PM

wow, it looks terrible painted.
Saucy 09-19-2006 11:19 PM
ricey!
fixed
Counterfit 09-20-2006 03:56 AM

Is it just me, or is having a hot air exhaust vent right in front of the scoop for the intercooler not the best of ideas? I guess that's what the spray is for...
orangedot3083 09-20-2006 06:02 AM

They use a V mount on the WRC. So the scoop is not right on top of the motor.
goldwave84 09-20-2006 01:45 PM

USD 8,000 for the kit? Wow....that's high. Anyone you know got one? a pic would be good...
STiShawn 09-20-2006 03:19 PM

lol...look in the members gallery
screwcitychris just got the font end on his 06
AlxSti 09-20-2006 07:51 PM

that thing is real ugly.. our cars are wide already.. why waste $10k+?
basrah 09-20-2006 08:10 PM

If I had 8k burning a hole in my pocket that is the last thing I would buy. You couldnt pay me enough to put that bloody ugly wing on my baby.
kennyvb 09-20-2006 08:27 PM

One big difference is that the fender cut on the actual WRC car is really high which looks good. Coupled with a lowered-stance, it's a no-brainer.
theicewall 09-20-2006 08:35 PM
that last picture of the wing makes it look fugly
Well I think if you are going to bother with all that you'd have to put the swoosh on the car and it wouldnt look so out of place... especially with a prodrive on the back of it. I think the opposite too though, the swoosh on a regular STi looks like butt also.
pzary3233 09-21-2006 04:03 PM

I like it but not for that money!
RS drifter 09-21-2006 09:01 PM
the rear wing looks alright in this pic
smaller too.... can't beat the real deal
theicewall 09-22-2006 12:06 AM

Yeah, the real wing only costs $18,000 if you buy it new and you get a good deal on it though. It is kind of stupid that the fake one is 4" taller than the real one... it kind of does look blown up and disproportionate... the rest of the car looks great though.. and if someone like "burnitup" makes a better replica wing you could always go with their wing.
