Number 2 is the best one i have found so far Jamie! From an action shot point of view, that really gets accross what the sport is all about and how you are pushing the car.
The only downside to that is that it doesnt show the sponsors names off.
If you plan on listing the sponsors in a seperate panel on the poster, then go with number 2. If you are after a picture with a simple caption and no other writing, go with number 3.
Hope i am making sense ;)

I'll go against the grain and say I like #1 :)
Action shot that shows the sponsors...what more could you ask for! ;)

#4, #1 would be a contender, but it seems the car is a touch out of focus, or the background isn't blurred enough.
| trhoppe | 10-29-2002 01:28 PM |
Another vote for #2, but opie makes a good argument for #1, you already do have the sponsors listed there! ;)

#4, it's classic. #2 would get my second vote.

#2- has the best colors (low sun = awesome pics)

#1 and 3 would make your sponsors the happiest, however 2 is by far the coolest looking.

For someone who doesn't understand the sport No. 2 might look like you made some sort of mistake.

I like #1..
its the only one that shows your name on the side of the car. kind of think that's a bit important =) (just my opinion though).
also like the fact that it shows most of the sponsers already

#2
#2 is my favorite, followed by #4. The front shots are much more dynamic, the other two just look like... pictures of a car driving by. The ideal would probably be a shot similar to #2, but from a 45 degree angle. I think it would maintain the same qualities, while also showing the sponsor names fairly well.

I vote for this one...

But that's just cause I took it :p
If I weren't biased I'd definitely go with #2. That's a great picture.

Definately # 2.
I want one by the way. How/when are they being produced? Are you thinking 'limited edition' or something like that?
Looks too cool to pass up, probably be pretty valuable someday too! ;)

If your doing a non-sponser shot like #2 then I would go with full color sponsers down the left side. It would help make them stick out better.

How about an example of it :D It would look better if better logos were used and I took the time to clean up the white parts around the logo.

I like that look, but I still like #1 or #4....
I think the car looks crossed up in #2, even though it is a great action shot. ;)
Jamie has a tough decision, but I imagine she needs to keep the sponsors happy!!
Let us know what you decide.

Jamie,
The Benetton F1 team had great posters when Nelson Piquet and Alessandro Nannini were driving. It was a side shot of the cars with all of the sponsors' names across the bottom at a 45 degree angle. The sponsors' names were rather small and evenly spaced across, with a fair amount of space in between. Each name was only done in one color, with the background of the poster being the second color. They looked awesome.
Good luck,
Gary

John's Got The Right Idea
#2 is a great shot... having met you at rim of the world, it really illustrates what SG Racing is all about.
I would either put the sponsors in the lower right corner, or up above in the trees... It benefits the picture if you show the drift lines in the dirt which run from under your cars nose to the lower left corner of the pic... That helps illustrate the action and forces at work... It also benefits the picture to show the swirl of dust trailing your car... You would also be smart to keep the area on the left side open, because it shows the area to which you are heading, balances the composition of the photo.
Thats my 2 centavos... That is a great photo, BTW!

#1 and #4 for all-inclusive shots. Depending on how much more complicated you want the layout to be then you could go with #2 and try to add your sponsors and so forth after the fact. What my feeling on this is that it will lead to a cluttered looking poster with the car as a background to the sponsor stickers themselves, kind of like a bad billboard.
Another thing you can do is to have #1 or #4 (I lean towards the first one myself) as a main photo and then a small square of one of the other or a couple of the other photos to show other angles.
Just my ideas. :)

Exactly what I was thinking. #1 is a very clear and well lit pic With very clear view of all those that made it possible. Number 1 also showing a face (yours!) to put the human side into the sport.
Final answer, number one.

Hi Jamie,
a belated congratulations on a superb season! saw you at the last rallyx but never did get a chance to catch up with you ...
I like the approach you've taken ... #2 has very good color saturation and your poster looks very good ...
however ... I like the lighting and visibility of you and navigator in picture 4 and one can clearly see her hanging on and I think if you set up the sponsors on the left where the color washes out due to dust and light ... it would also be a strong contender ...
to decide ... I'd want to compare them ... color balancing and set up could make a world of difference
# 1 is a very good shot ...but doesnt to me ... convey any excitement
and there are no bad shots among all of them
Charlie
