Hey all!
I got my hands on a Video Editing program today and made video which I know you'll all love. Just like that WRC-High movie, various clips put to music. Only problem is I have nowhere to host it :( Can anybody host it for a day or two?

DAMMIT! I cannot get this FTP thing to work! I need to get this thing on the net! Hopefully you guys will think it's worth the wait. As soon as I can get it up it will be here. Try getting the latest version of Media Player from [url]www.windowsmedia.com[/url] - it has a ton of new CODEC's. They were originally .wmv files, but then we used the movie making program to re-do them as .mpg's. The "I wish I was Japanese" video was done by my freind, I did the Drift Mix. Hope you guys can watch them :D

I liked the first video, but I must be getting old or something because the music on the second one was just horrible!
Drifting is a cool art, but I hope it doesn't get popular here with the ricers. I know it's growing, but the day it gets to be the level that street drag racing is I'll have to start denouncing it! The problem is that while the Japanese do it on public roads, they respect the normal drivers they catch up to by slowing down, putting the hazards on, and respecfully passing. I don't think kids here (or most adults for that matter) are capable of that. People will get killed and it will get a bad name.
Every time I watch them drift on the track I can't help but think how damn slow that is compared to the proper line! :lol:

I think both videos are both fantastic! It worked fine on my WMP. "99 Ballons" was definetly the better of the two, but "Wish I was Japanese" had a good size/quality factor to it.
Overall, very good first efforts.

Wow! Thanks guys! I used Windows Movie Maker that comes with Windows XP. My buddy just got a new computer with XP (haha! Sucker!) and that's what we used. You can get the program off Morpheus, that's how I got it for my Win98SE based comp. It's a little tricky to get started but it's easy once you know what you're doing.
I only did the Drift Mix, my buddy did the other one :D Thanks a lot for the comments! So far it's just hobby but hey, if you like it that much maybe I should give it some more effort! :D

take a closer look at WRC High. He didn't just throw vid clips in with a song he liked, it's all timed to the music and lyrics!
The 206 starts exactly when the lyrics start.
"As the plendulem swings" the focus goes by setting up for a plendulem turn.
"You wouldn't even recongnize me anymore" and the Subie burns... etc.
Pick a song you can do that to and wow us with your genius!

Akhuner, to underage's credit he did match a lot of edits on beat with the song in drift edit. Maybe Nena covers just aren't as lyrically suited for car video as Linkin Park :lol:

I'm not sure how old Jason is but this was an exceptional first attempt for an "UnderAgeEnthusiast" and very good by any standard.
PS - I think you do US drivers a disservice by alluding they are intrinsically less capable of "drifting respectfully" than Japanese drivers. Drifting on public roads is illegal and dangerous whether "respectfully" done or not.

I got the WRC High video from a post in this forum, and it claimed some i-clubber named Pou or something made it. If you saw the same footage on WRC coverage it's probably where he pulled it from, not vice-versa.

I'm 16 by the way :D The WRC vid must have taken at least a couple hours to do, it had perfect timing and links with the lyrics. I just made this in about an hour and a half! Those drift vids, I don't remember exactly. I have so many videos on my harddrive it's stupid. I'll see if I can find them again for you and post the link.
