It's the silver one from the WR1 right?
If it is, I've heard that it requires you to drill into the front bumper to install it. I'd also assume that it should have come with some type of installation hardware.

mine didn't come with any instructions either.. I just basically took some masking tape, ran it along the bottom, made sort of a template on where to drill, match the width of the posts with a drill bit,, and took the plunge of drilling..
I also painted my bottom grill black, with that rubberized "truck bed liner" stuff,, looks pretty slick I think.

thanks for the picture I may end up painting mine as well
what type of screws did you use to bolt it down(any washers?)
do you remember if the little rubber seals(grometts) pushed down into the holes you drilled? what size dril bit did you use?
thanks you are a big help

I used self taping screws, which were flat, so they were flush with the grill (if that makes sense..) And with the gromets, I just pushed those onto the metal pegs, and used those to sort of lift up the grill a bit, so there was a tiny bit of a gap.. I can't remember what size drill bit I used, just match up the metal pegs, and go from there.

DEFINATELY paint it black. that looks great and i've never been a fan of the grill in the bottom, but the black is hott.

Use the rubberized black paint though,, I "think" the grille is stainless, so paint doesn't like to stick very good to it.

I had mine powdercoated and the paint sticks fine to the bottom but most of the paint has come off of the top around the edges. I thought about using that tool handle maker stuff. The rubber coating just does not come in enough colors.
PS white is the new blue.

i thought the prodrive top grill came with a stock black plastic grill with it.
do you know what i mean? in the pictures it seems as if the top stock grill was hacked and then the prodrive grill inserted.
also how much did the top and bottom grill cost?
I got quoted for 225 each or so. coming out to 550 bucks....
"woah"<neo>

I'm all for unique looks and whatnot.. but what the hell? That yellow wagon is just.... jfklwjjfkflewj3j9 jfw ;w
| bushflyr | 10-18-2005 01:55 PM |
I think the yellow wagon looks great, it's just the blue wheels and grill that... ummm... well... It's like my momma said, If you can't say anything nice.... Please ShortBus, put your Scoob out of it's misery and repaint your wheels and grill something nicer. Maybe pink polka dots or something. MY ADVICE TO YOU: Paint your morrettes blue in the center. Then youd complete a trainwreak.

I actually don't think its that bad. I've seen many subarus way worse. :)

The pic doesn't do the paint justice. Here they look really dark but they a lot brighter/lighter and you can see them for a mile.
I thought what the heck since it only cost me $250 to get it all powdercoated. I am selling a liberal bodykit next week and I think I will go with white but I need some new brakes to make it really pop.
I don't mind when people voice their opinion as that what America is all about. I do mind when people who think customizing your car means buying gold wheels for their blue Subaru. Just leave your car stock if it is still going to look like everyone elses car.
So if anyone would like to post some pics of their custom cars I would love to see them.

You make a very good point, shortbus, and I'm sorry about my earlier comment.
Like I said though, I love a unique look, and your car is just that and I have to give you props on that. Personally I think the blue on yellow looks better than yellow on blue, but if you're happy with it that's all that matters.
