Shave WRX front corner lights?

Well I wanted some opinions on a new mod I was considering (since my car is in the body shop again). I wanted to see how you guys felt about shaving the front corner marker lights. I do currently run the subaru clear corners (with grey back which match the PSM paint VERY well). But I think that if I actually removed the lights and had the spots filled and painted over it would look alot smoother.
Gimme your thoughts,
Thanks!
EDIT: I forgot to mention I already have shaved the rear trunk (and keyhole), the antenna, and those annoying black mouldings in front of the rear tires, so this mod would definately keep the shaving "theme" of my car on the right track :)

Do it if you can afford it!
Can you expand a bit on how much removing the key hole in the tailgate/trunk cost you? I was thinking of doing the same thing.

Well the body shop quoted me $100 for the labor but I don't think they ever charged me when it was all over (I had them almost completely repair and refinish the rear end when I wrecked it the first time).

You don't see my car in that pic, but I'm parked next to him. A few things...
1. The grille doesn't fit flush. The JDM car's have a different bumper beam and other components, so it's off by a little bit.
2. His side markers aren't shaved. Those are Aqua widebody fenders, though it's hardly wider then stock.
Mike~~

Shave away, it's a clean look. Isn't that the reason we all dig the clear corners so much anyway -- to take away the visual 'distraction' on the front fender (at least those of us that have silver or white cars AND, come to think of it, black and WRB cars with CF covers).
Shaving is the natural extension. Dude, go for it and post your pics when you're done.

i'm just curious if there are any legality issues with this. not sure exactly what, but i'd think you need to have side markers

Unless a cop drives a WRX, he's never going to notice that you have removed your side markers. If he does drive a WRX, he'll probably give you a compliment. GO FOR IT!

i'm going to shave my side makers also, but plan on putting the lights behind the fender on.

New STi has no side markers

And anyone can still see the turn signals/corner lights from the side.

I dont like em as much as I like my SOJ clear corners, I think they match alot better. I have a brand new set (since I smashed the light) but if I shave em I wont need the set anymore.
Leo you remember the side markers I sold you? those were part of the set which also included the front corners.
If I do shave I'll sell the whole set for $125 including an extra drivers side corner light.

Hey is there enough plastic under the front license plate hole area for the body shop to grind down? Or will they have to do some custom filling?

Plastic is VERY thin. However, we were able to customize the back with not too much problems.

i like those sti cf covers, but are there ones out there that are just plain black or almost black? since i have a black WRX, think they might look great, maybe some smoother ones so they are more flush with the body.
