Consider this a preview. I've installed the horn and the tanks and I've got everything mounted, but I actually haven't finished wiring it yet. When I finish wiring the compressor (hopefully Friday), I'll put up all the installation pics and do a write up.

yeah. you've convinced me that loud horns(all loud horns) suck. the solution for people with their stereos too loud or cell phones to stop letting people listen to loud music and talk on the phone, not create stupid **** like these things to make it impossible to get on the horn without deafening every baby within a three block radius.
i would have expected to see this on a ford f150 forum or a lynard skynard forum or a rural incest forum, but not here. supertones are one thing, this kind of **** is just uneccessary.

I'm not one to abuse the horn. I had it for months on my last car and I didn't honk it at pedestrians or random people on the sidewalk.
When you're in the car, it does NOT hurt your ears. On the freeway, it's very audible, unlike the stockers. It's LOUD, but it's not piercing. The tone is pleasant unlike an electric horn.
Common uses for horn:
Idiots making U-Turns from the right lane and cutting in front of you in the process. People cutting you off on the freeway. Non-turn signal users. People obstructing the flow of traffic.

They're mounted behind the driver's side fog light on the frame rail. Used some "square" u-bolts to secure the mounting plate i made to the framerail without drilling any holes. Tanks are mounted on the other side of the car in the same spot.

The stock horns are not audible in a lot of traffic situations, and thus do not fulfil their function as a warning signal. I got louder horns than stock because I don't like to find myself being squeezed by a semi changing lanes with me in the way, and nowhere to go.

good job (honestly). loud ass horns are good to have, i heard a car honking in traffic the other day, and it was pathetic! it was like [SIZE=1]"meeeeeep"[/SIZE] i could put my face right onto the horn and it wuoldnt hurt my ears. lol.

i think this horn is great. I hate the supertones because its such a peircing sound it really hurts your ears, not just in loudness but pitch. this is a smoother tone so only startles you, doesnt hurt.
i personally dont use my horn at all though, only time id use it is when someone isnt watching the light turn green, but i just rev my exhaust and they go.

this is the way i've always felt about those who put 15 thousand hella supertones on their car ... but apparently everyone (and their mother) on this forum seems to think that supertones are cool

Ok functionally I finished it today....in the middle of the rain.
I've got the compressor wired to a lighted switch in the interior that indicates when the compressor is charging the system. The compressor has a pressure switch which shuts it off at 100PSI, and thus also repressurizes the system after the horn is honked or after air is leaked out. Problem is that on my old that that these horns were on, I had a pressure switch fail once, causing the compressor to never shut off. Thanks to good air flow it didn't burn up.
Anyway, the switch lights up when it's charging, and you can manually turn it off now if you notice that it doesn't shut off. I'd have pics and a write up if it weren't for the rain.....We'll have to wait a few days for that.

+1 for scaring the crap outta @sshat truck drivers that can't hear anything but the drone of their diesels in traffic while they drift from one lane to another. I might say, that Im One of the irresponsible people who use my horns to scare the **** out of pedestrians, and to annoy the hell out of my friends leaving school.
But, the loudness of the SuperTones are starting to wear off, and Im looking for more.
Im thinking of ading a single horn off either a ferry or train, have a small 1 or 2 gallon air tank in the trunk. But, this setup would be on a switch, and most likely would never be used on the street.
