You can get a pair of SRD seats for ~$1000...and the resemblence of those to the Evo seats really dissuade me from wanting those....

The Recaro Speed seat is a much better seat for the money- larger bolsters and option 5 point harness slot.

I have been debateing getting the EVO seats for a while now, I dont see whats wrong with them. I have sat in them, similar to many sport seats, they look decent and you can get a matching set for 800 off an evo forum. So what if they are from an evo I like nice cheap things.

Dirven and Evo...and let me tell u those Recaro's are nice....Grip and Feel much better than my Sti seats...Im gettin them...Yea a little pricy but worth it I think....I've been looking for deals.

I just put a recaro SRD/speed in my STi and let me tell you, it's one of the single best modifications i've done to my car. It blows the stock STi seat away ten fold. It's also cheaper than those Recaro sports, more supportive, and lighter. Go figure.

I agree about the s203 seats but from what I can figure out, those seats will not be cheap. I think the figure is like $5500.

That's just like when Recaro made special edition seats for the RX7 or Porsche, they were built the same way. Reclining hard shell seats that were a megabuck option.
Hopefully, that figure is for a pair and MSRP. Like that would make them any more afordable...heh...

Affordability wasn't part of the original topic. It was about the only recaro that should be in the sti. If you had the choice of only seeing one seat in a STi, which would you take? (without price consideration) So, Um yea...

Does anyone know which recaro is compatible with the airbag harness? I read about one in Sport Compat that had the side airbag like those in the WRX and were direct plug-in with heat and air. I can't seem to find one on the recaro website though... :(

They can change the inside color from the outside color and colored stitching. They also have alcantara(suede) material available that they might be able to mess around with. Even with customizing the Speed this way, you won't be even close to the $$ of those other recaros.
