Thinking about re-styling my brembos.

I've been thinking about re-styling my brembos for about two weeks now. I've read that VHT high temp caliper paint works great. So i've decided to go either black or flat black. Here's what i've come up with so far in terms of photoshop. Any suggestions on logo size adjustment would be helpful (i.e. smaller logo on front brakes)
(The idea was inspired by STiYLIN @ i-club, the Spec-C RA-R, and a local AMG benz)

P'Shopped (crappy):

At this point, i'm debating between flat black and glossy black (like the STI ltd's). Give me your thoughts & reasons! I figure putting high temp clear on the brakes would make them a hell of a lot easier to clean.
Cheers,
Alex

A) I wish I had a lift
B) I wish I had Brembo's
In any case.....I'd imagine, unless ur really anal about cleaning, the dust accumulation will make them look pretty flat....so why not go ahead and make em matte

im gonna do mine black sometime down the line so i say do it. do make sure to clear coat though for ease of cleaning. otherwise be ready to strip and repaint every few thousand miles.

Thanks for all the advice guys. Everything you guys tell me will be taken into account.
I'm leaning towards clearcoating with a gloss finish so that it looks more OEM. When i actually go through with this (come later this month) i'll post pictures and possibly do a writeup of the process.

I prefer the gold, but thats just me. The black kind of reminds me of a black widow or the spiderman w/ the venom space goo

Yeah, i was thinking to just go straight out black too. Or even black with white brembo logo like the limited 07 STI.
I wanted to go black because gold adds another color to my car that has no complimentary accents near it. I think gold bbs looks better on all the other color cars tho.

the black callipers looks great but the white stickers is gonna get grubby/covered up in no time... how abt a darker colour for the words? say brembo gold?
but if i were u, i would like your callipers stock... the brembo gold colour is a classic and it's really too nice and a pity to be sprayed on

I say go with the VHT gloss black caliper paint and white stickers. You can then use the VHT clearcoat over the stickers if you want that extra protection.
I used the VHT red on my 4-pots/2-pots and found it very easy to use. The paint went on well and built up quickly. Just remember to re-coat within the specified time or the paint will lift & bubble.

PM "glilly". He's the person that i will get the stickers through once i get everything settled. You'll need to send him your own measurements. As for the VHT paint, i saw some at AutoZone the other day.
Cheers,
Alex

Thats awesome, seriously. Personally I'd do silver with black letters (but it depends on the color of your car) like AMG does, but that looks great as well.

Those look great sauuce.
I love the flat look, very dark, almost seductive.
Anyway, for anyone looking for brake decals, check out this eBay member's page.

I bought some Brembo high temp decals from him for my last STi, and they worked really well.

I think a wrinkle texture might be a good compromise between flat and gloss black. Kind of like the Parkerizing used on firearms.

i like........do a semi-flat black and clear coat with red brembo decals, but smaller on the fronts,i kinda like the sleeper look imo.any pics of the car its goin on?

If i had more color accents on my car, i wouldnt go black and white with my brakes. But I dont like gold brakes on SGM with silver wheels. I'm clearing my headlights next week, so thats gonna be the end of the yellow tones on my car.
Anyways, here's the car.
