This was already posted quite some time ago. I would be interested to see a chop top, but this car was completely redone. You can't tell as well from the pics you posted, but it is also just a single seater now. Not even a car anymore IMO.

the guys that built this 01 impreza are sydney australia based osman brothers. the car was built purely as a competition show car, simply to push the limits of customisation within the show car scene.
few details are as follows:
500kw, 2.5l, boxer 4cyl
argo pistons & rods
Turbonetics 60-1 turbocharcher
conservitive 22psi boost
100hp Nos
oh yeah... the shifter is between your legs, under the steering wheel

with a leaking head gasket and no nitrous, it has already pumped out 283kw at all four wheels.

i agree. big waste of money, 175k plus original vehicle cost.
to shift 1-3rd is best with left hand, 4-5th with right hand. bit of a joke.
i wouldn't be cought dead in it!

I have respect that they had the skills and the $$ to do that, but it is far too over the top for my taste.
I'd rather have a car that looks like crap, but can outrun a Ferrari.....

they already did that to a post bug-eyed WRX at the Tokyo Auto Salon....It almost made me want to chop the top on mine.

i think if someone built a kit or did an install to convert an impreza to a convert, it would be pretty successful.
people are going to get into it about structural integrity and yadda yadda yah, but what about the people who dont intend on auto-x, rally or tracking the car.
