What color would you paint a cusco cage if you were me? lol

Right now, I have a sparco harness bar with i/o port racing video camera mount. I like it, but I think the car needs more, so i'll probably just sell it. BTW, it's hasn't even been in the car for 4 hrs and I already want to switch it up. ;)
I like the cusco cage, but the blue will just add to the asortment of colors I already have, so here is the dilema.
Would you paint it:
Teal? to match the brakes and harness's
Red? To match the tow hooks, Brides, lugnuts, and other items?
Gold? To match the Advan's?
Leave it blue? and just look like a straight rainbow coming down the highway.
I guess im just bored with the car already and need something else to livin' it up.

I would not consider getting a cusco cage at all. All show not much go.

black, or black.
But if I were me it'd be invisible. Because rollcages on grocery getter economy cars are silly.

^^ They are not only silly but can be dangerous on a daily driver. Unless you are wearing a helmet every day while in the car, and it doesnt matter how much padding you use, it can still severly injure or kill you in an accident when you hit your head on it.

flat black - or semi gloss black. But Dibble JR is correct.

I wouldn't consider a bolt-in "cage". Do a real cage or do nothing. The Sparco (or Speedware) harness bar is very effective for bracing the middle of the car and utilizing a camera mount or fire extenguisher. Obviously it also serves as a good harness bar. The Speedware looks good and has nice welds. The Sparco has neither good looks or welds. I've seen both and own the Speedware and am not prejudiced by any means. Poor welds don't always mean lower shear strength. Don't buy the Cusco, and I own multiple Cusco products.

Especially if you don't wear a harness everyday, everywhere you go.
Are we talking about a cage (i.e. roof hoop with through the dash tubing, etc..) or a roll bar??? A cage and roll bar are two different things.....

A harness bar is a great solution. I bought mine off ebay, if you look under parts review section you will see my thread I posted yesterday.

gold is a nice color for a cage and it will match your wheels outside.

My car is white and I ran into the same problem as you, what color?? I narrowed my choices down to:
1. STI Pink, I wanted it because it would have kept with the Subaru/STI theme and would have looked sweet(In my eyes) However I didn't want to have to deal with the retards that would ask why my cage was pink and I'm sure some judges would have maybe thought like wise.
2.Bronze, to match my Work wheels, I would have gone with this color but I had never seen a cage painted that color and I was willing to take that big of a gamble with it, had my cage been just a bolt in I would have probably gone bronze.
3.Satin Black, the saying goes, "Black goes with anything" and in my case it did, the satin black gives it a nice touch as not being too flashy but just enough, with the black it sticks out to the viewer but not enough as to make it be the center point of the car.
For you D Money I'm not sure what look you are going for? I know your like me in that you probably want what ever is gonna bring home the trophies and thats why I went with the Satin Black as it doesn't take away from the rest of the car. I'm sure what ever color you pick it's gonna look sweet, you got good taste and know what looks hot.

D money, I say get what ever cage you want and just buy some STi padding that is in the link I posted above. The padding has a STi logo on the one that go's on the top like in the pick. The cage is cherry blossom red with blue padding in that one pick, They also have Black padding which is the one I would go for. Good luck.

I beg too differ. If Speedware makes the Sparco harness bars they utilize the non-talented welders. Trust me, I compared the two side-by-side and the welds of the Sparco were "globs". The Speedware welds were well-done. I have two titanium Litespeeds and know good welds from bad or mediocre. The quality of the Sparco harness bar wasn't in the same ballpark as the Speedware. This isn't because I own the Speedware, I'd give you my honest opinion regardless. I felt guilty showing the Sparco owner my Speedware, as he paid about the same price. He got hosed. Speedware = good, Sparco = mediocre. Understand?

Sorry to say but your Speedware harness bar was never even designed by Speedware. heres the story.....
A company out of Seattle washington called Cascade Autosport originally built them....
Cascade Autosport designed and built the Speedware harness bars for a long time until a falling out occurred between Speedware and Cascade.
At that time Speedware took the plans for the harness bar continuing to make them. Speedware has been making Sparco seat mounts for a long time now and their friendship with Sparco turned into Sparco buying into half of the Harness bar fabrication and sales... You can still buy a Speedware harness bar but it is the same as the Sparco piece and vice versa, just different badging. I know all of this because I have known the owners of Cascade and Speedware for a long time now.... Let alone the fact that I walk into Speedware at least once a week. And just so you know the welds don't dictate who makes them... They have at least 5 guys welding for them, so quality will differ. But Strength is never an issue
