Where can I buy the 22B wing??
Hi everyone, my name is Bryant and I live in California, USA. I have a 2000RS and want to buy the 22B wing. I only know of two places that carry this wing. MRTrally.com and revtec.com. The problem with MRTrally is that the wing costs like 200 bucks to ship over to the US from Australia. That would make the wing come out to around 500 dollars. revtec.com currently doesn't have any in stock and plus i don't know the shipping cost, since they are in Canada. Are there any other places or sites that sell the 22B wing (adjustable, with 3rd LED brake light)? Thanks for all your help.

hey danny pal...primitive's wing IS the V5. The 22B is quite a bit different.
Dude, try looking up the WRC wing... they are about the same, so long as you can get one with the brake light

I can get the wing through MRT for you if you can't find one any where else.

They look very similar. I guess if you are dead set on a 22B wing, then the version V won't do.
Took me a long time to find this all out - but in the end, the STI site gave all the details.
FWIW, Versions 1 through 4 had the 1st generation RS Coupe Wing

actually...I'm pretty sure the RS sedan wing came stock at one point. I know it was on the first Rally cars...which would make me believe it's the V1 or V2 wing. But there I may be wrong.
As for the 22B and V5...the 22B is basically just smaller.

I actually think the V1 spoiler was like the sedan, and the V2 is like the coupe... perhaps I'm mistaken, tho.
I prefer the V5 because it seems to fit the car the best, tho I think it's still a little oversized. If there was something like the V5, but maybe an inch shorter, and w/o the bottom part that sits across the trunk, I'd be all over that....
that is... if I hadn't just spent LOTS o' cash on turbo stuff...

Ok - I got my information/pictures straight from the STI site. There is no picture of an STI version with the sedan wing.
That doesn't mean that some of the special editions didn't come with the shorty wing. Just look at SPD Tunings Site, I believe that is a picture of a STI Version 4 Type R.
But Version 1 through 4 on their site (direct from the horses mouth [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif[/img]) all show the coupe wing.
And they do make a wing like the version 5 except an inch shorter and it doesn't lay across the trunk. Its called the P1 [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

the thing is that i want the 22B wing and not the other wings. MRT is the only place taht sells it for sure with the third LED brake light and also being adjustable. I just don't know how much the shipping would be from australia to california is. does anyone have an idea? someone told me that it would be around 200 US dollars. thanks for replying!

You guys are missing one important difference the 22b wing is adjustable.

I was fortunate enough to have a mrt part dealer (and other companies ex:cobb etc) Lachue Subaru that is about an hour and a half from me and I diddnt pay for the shipping. I would reccomend that you call mrt and ask if there any businesses that sell mrt products near you, then order from them.

wow thats really good, so then is it ready to install out of the box? looks like i better get some cash alittle quicker. how long will you have those wings available?
| dutch555 | 05-13-2001 02:03 PM |
I have a couple of them so that is no problem.Wing comes in four pieces ,I am happy with that cause now it is affordable to ship it from the EU.So you cannot take it out of the box and onto your car ,you must put it togehter first. But instructions are with it and if you are just a bit handy this is no problem.
Bye chris
PS wing comes with red hella brakelight in topsection.

As of late, you are being 'asked' to revive older existing threads instead of taking up cyber-storage with new related questions. ;)
