Are those silver tarmacs? Looks gold. Nonetheless, I say the tarmacs.

I would go for whites it's just my taste...:)
| Stripe | 04-17-2002 10:27 AM |
I would go with the dark grey or bronze Tarmacs :D

I like the Tarmacs...really Nice

Definitely the whites.
In person they look ten times better than the others.

Those look like the gold tarmacs, but for the blaze yellow i would definitely go with bronze tarmacs. Bronze and yellow would be soooo nice.
| krave | 04-17-2002 12:09 PM |
I agree...bronze tarmacs
| hman | 04-17-2002 12:27 PM |
I like the Tarmac style. I also like the silver subzero.
| H8YNERS | 04-17-2002 12:42 PM |
I like both styles but from the side views you posted I would say I prefer the Tarmacs in silver, bronze....or "stop the presses" gold (never thought I'd say that!). The Blaze yellow would look good w/any of those colors.
BTW, I almost bought silver Tarmacs for my silver WRX wagon. I spent a bit more and went with the super clean (some say too clean) look and light weight of the the Volks Rays Gram Lites, about 16.2 lbs and a 7.5" rim, 48mm offset
Good luck in your decision. You really can't go wrong w/either of your choices though. ;)

IMHO the only wheels that look good are silver ones. I like the style of the subzeros and the tarmacs, okay the subzeros fit my tastes more, but silver is the best color for wheels.

Well, for looks, I'd go Tarmacs.
But the 2lbs per wheel savings would sell me.
Silver, BTW

Wes,
I have a word of advice for you if you get the rims from Revolutions. Tell them NOT to balance them. They told me they balance them by clipping the weights to the back of the rims, that will only statically balance them. You can get wheel wobble at high speeds with static balancing. Take them to Discount Tire and tell them you want them dynamically balanced with tape weights. Trust me it's the way to go. It's what I did with my Tarmacs. The Discount Tire on 15 and Gratiot is pretty good, I took my car there Tuesday to get my stock rims/track tires balanced (before the track day) and they did a good job and didn't overtorque my wheels like most places do. They even told me to come back in a few months to get my wheels re-torqued. That's the first time ANY place has told me that! And all Discount Tire stores use the good Hunter balancers. It will cost you $24 or so, but it's well worth it. Make sure you tell them TAPE WEIGHTS, or you'll get the ugly clip on kind. My Tarmacs can't even take the clip on type on the front. I believe the Sub-Zero can though, but clip on weights are ugly!
