Yellow 22B ... *drool*
I'm trying to repaint my car and deciding on what colour to paint her. I have a black 99 2.5 rs and kinda leaning towards the yellow of the 22b. There are lots of pic of blue 22b's in UK but I have yet to find one for the yellow ones. Can anybody help?
I'm still open to suggestions for any other new colours that you think will look nice on a 99 rs. Pictures would be very nice to prove your point. :D

If possible a colour code for the exact yellow would be very nice =P.
How well do you guys think the yellow will cover up the black? Is it goign to take 50 thousand coats of primer to do it?

Well, the reason why you can't find a pic of a yellow 22b is because they didn't make a yellow 22b. It only came in Sonic blue. Im not sure what yellow youre looking for, or else maybe I could help, sorry.

Frankly i think the 22B would look like suck in that color. The only other shade i'd like to see it in is black.

and is that the same color as the limited yellow WRX we got in US?
why do you want to paint your car yellow? if it's gonna be yellow, i would go for the S2K yellow, or the vette yellow. i believe the S2K yellow is spa yellow. don't know the paint code, but a call to your local honda dealer would be helpful.

the Cashmere yellow is not the same as the blaze yellow on the new WRX. I had the paint code for the Cashmere yellow but lost it, thats the color I was going to have my car painted and I have decided to just go with Dakar Yellow

I'm afraid there's no yellow 22B ever, if it's the one in the picture you are talking about, that's a STI type R.:p

Actually, that an STi Ver. VI. Type R's and RA's don't have skirt's or lips, or spats, maybe no wing as well, and they have a roofscoop. No mechanical antenna either. I also think they only came it white and blue. They're the lightweight stripped down race prep versions. ;)

If you're going yellow. Get the color code on the new yellow for the 2003 WRX... it's very nice. It is allso the same color they paint the 2002 STI Type S202. Very hot.

The S202 actually is a different yellow, and not the same as the 2003 WRX yellow.
The S202 yellow translates to "Australia Yellow"
The 2003 WRX is Sonic Yellow and it is a little more orange than the Australian Yellow of the S202.

I had no idea there were 4 different Subaru shades of yellow. I thought the JDM GC8 WRX & 02 USDM yellow were the same.

Nope. There are a bunch of different yellow colors on Subarus. The best being the S202 Astral Yellow.

I'm voting not a real 22b, why would they swap out the 22B blue/grey alcantara seats for the other STi red/grey seats? :confused:

Different front facia, too. The 22b's already unique. But then how'd they get the fender flares?
When I was last in Ierland (two weeks in December) I noticed most of the old body styles were in the hands of boy racers with lout tips, lighted washer nozzles, and the rest. I didn't see anything that overt, and I'm not saying you'll do the same with your yellow painted car' but that's what I niticed.

Hi ya Yotsuya, its not my car the yello one resides in Cork (southern most county) Im in Dublin, I drive a white MY00 Uk spec Turbo (215bhp) with group n discs, braided lines, prodrive intercooler hosing, KnN panel filter and 16" speedlines...
93/94 JDM imports WRX's/Sti's are very common and cheap to buy here, alot of smaller engine imprezas are also modded to look like turbos, ireland is the first port of call for alot of hi-po imports from japan which are then sold to England etc..
the yellow car is NOT a 22b, it was modded by a guy in Cork, its a 3 dr Sti of some sort but ive no further details...

he fitted the kit and owns the car, so he should be able to tell u everything, @bruce alot of peeps here upgrade to the Sti rear lamps (red over white) but we know now its not a 22b
