Zero/Sports @ VIR GT Live Event part 1

Edo Performance 10-13-2006 03:49 PM

Zero/Sports @ VIR GT Live Event
Greetings fellow NASIOC Community,

Zero/Sports Japan has asked us to express their thanks for the support the community has given to them. Though the Zero/Sports WRX did not have the best weekend, the support that the community gave was enough for the crew to go back and give multiple attempts at returning to the track. Unfortunately, the car suffered from a series of:

1. Weather being too cold for its tune.
2. Fuel pump failed at one point.
3. Didn't have proper tires for the conditions and went off the track.
4. Drive shaft broke from going off the track and prevented Zero/Sports from qualifying.

Regardless of what happened, Zero/Sports will be prepared for the Superstreet Time Attack coming up in November. Zero/Sports will also be attending SEMA and will have their own booth. We encourage all those that make the journey out to SEMA to come and stop by. Below are pictures from this past GT Live at VIR. Enjoy!

Check it out. Blue and black tape and some screws fixed up the car. Compare the two pics above. Hehe.

The turbo on the Zero/Sports car is an IHI RX6. (Lots of bling!)
The one on the EDO Performance car is a FP-Red. (ours is a Z/S Replica)

Holy crap! How much camber are you guys running?!? i'm assuming that's a widebody on the car but what kind? looks real clean!

thats not edo's car, its zerosport's car.
dentsport 10-14-2006 10:38 AM

Crazy camber. That car was so sexy to see in person. The wing was a one off Zero Sports special and was so rad. I also love the STi replacement finned upper rear windshield wing thing.

I thought this shot from your gallery was pretty cool, showing how much the airflow through the front of the car has been manipulated:

From my understanding the turbo IS available for sale to the public (but OMG, its pricy) and they are special order at this point. ETA would probably be a few months. :p Your better off picking up a Zero/Sports AR20 (modified PE1820 that puts out power close to a 20G) that I have in stock!!

But as for our car, here are some pictures at this link:

dentsport 10-15-2006 11:05 PM

The Apexi Isamu kits use the RX6 but not the larger TCW77. The S1-S5impreza and escort WRCs both used modified versions of the RX6 turbos but the CHRAs alone are close to $5K.

the kit is beautiful tho... coming with burnt blue heat shields... very quality, not to mention the rx6 is a serious turbo.

how much for the ar20, pics?
RC0310 10-16-2006 06:08 AM

kinda off topic, but is the Zerosports widebody kit available to the public?
Edo Performance 10-16-2006 07:10 PM
how much for the ar20, pics?
The AR20 is on sale now for $1560.00 shipped. I have 3 of these remaining since I sold one to a member on the boards last week. It's probably the best price on the market for this turbo. Capable of about 330whp on a 2.0 with all the proper supporting mods and tune.

Unfortunately the Zero/Sports widebody is not for sale to the public. Japan can't even get the item, so its not like its an exclusive Japan or US thing.

Fortunately though, Zero/Sports DOES offer a public use version of their body kit as you can see in the link a couple posts up that will take you to our shop car. Its a great kit. I promise. Those who have purchased one from me have no regrets. It's one sweet kit.

 Actually, I don't have it. A friend of mine purchased the kit a couple of days ago from EDO Performance. I'll request pictures from him once it is on his car. BUT, I have personally held the AR20 and fitted the turbo upto an up-pipe and downpipe in the showroom. Everything fit and it was pretty.
