Yung-Wun 01-15-2002 06:10 PM

'02 Body Kit????

Hi, I'm really looking for a body kit for the new (2002 WRX) but can't find one. i'm not looking for anything to wild, if anyone has any idea, plz let me know, Thanks!
tdman77 01-15-2002 06:20 PM

You couldn't find one???? There are many kits available for the 02 WRX. The question is did you look? Try typing body kit in the search and see what comes up.

And I thought the 13,000 guy were bad.

I personally like the OEm Body Front Bumper, side skirts but the Rear 2 piece valance is HORRIBLE! There has to be something that matches the OEM front and side, I just havent been able to find something.

You guys have any ideas? (web links would rock too)

Beautiful kit...what is it?
ScoobyBoy 01-16-2002 01:09 AM

i personally like the oem kit.
its simple enough, but it still looks great.
but its just my two cents
:D
avonrex 01-16-2002 11:18 AM

I'm pretty sure the kit that ngwan posted is the Aus. OEM kit.

Anyone confirm this and who can get this?
Dr. Zevil 01-16-2002 12:54 PM

I want to know what the above body kit is as well... me likes...
doktorstoj 01-17-2002 12:18 AM

i think the above person is right, i think it is the australian oem kit, which for some reason seems a lot better than the us one. How did we lose out on that!!!!!!!!
zabutter 01-17-2002 12:48 AM

The bigger question is how do we get it? Vendors are you listening?
monkeytronZ 01-17-2002 06:19 AM

YEAH! where did that kit come from?!
atf78 01-17-2002 11:54 AM

I want that kit!!

Drool, the sides and rear of that kit look so good. I want those so bad now. Please somebody find out how we can get that here in the states.
Murphy 01-17-2002 09:52 PM

I want this kit too. My fave of all I've seen so far.
girl 01-17-2002 10:17 PM

hmm...i bet you nqwan is laughin his ass off as no one that replied as of yet knows exactly what kit it is.:D and to answer how the US lost out on the above kit.........the US auto market loses out on just about everything if you haven't noticed. all we get are castrated versions of what is available overseas:alien:

What does the Australian OEM Front Bumper look like?
gary501 01-17-2002 11:39 PM

If i could get it how many people will buy it and how much would you be willing to pay?
atf78 01-18-2002 12:24 AM

I just received the OEM replica front lip from primitive, so I'm just interested in the sides and rear for now ... but I haven't seen the front yet so who knows :D.

If you could get these, I'd definitely buy. Price? Depends on if they come prepainted like the US OEM kit. Prepainted, maybe $400 for the rear, $250 for the sides. Unpainted, $300 rear, $200 sides.

Prova Kit

Oem kit is nice as well.....simple and made out of urethane...

Syms also looks nice.....C west is a popular one as well...

Samirr76 01-18-2002 10:58 AM

Acc can u get me one of those for like $100 or so? ;)
nqwan 01-18-2002 11:34 AM

lol accurit. i like your taste :p the giken rear underspoiler has been on my wish list for quite a while now. i love the sporty, yet conservative look of it and my only wish is that it sat a bit lower (doesnt look that much lower than stock). i like the look of the stu rear underspoiler but getting a custom exhaust made to fit it is not worth the look nor the performance sacrifices imo. of course the griffin kit is still one of the best looking out there but the portion underneath the rear license plate area really bugs me. i dislike the way they squared it off with that outlining bulge type thingy (if that made any sense...)

anyways, back to the post. iirc, its the oem kit for the 02 aus wrx. hopefully it will become an option for the us on the next line of imprezas coming out later this year.

[email protected], actually, i wasnt laffing my ass off...i was just grinning very widely :D j/k

sorry for not responding sooner. cause of the title of the thread, i kept thinking it was another post about the us oem underspoiler so i kept skipping it since enough has already been posted about that stuff. little did i know that i had already responded to it earlier and stirred up some drama due to my ignorance
Accurit Performance 01-18-2002 09:23 PM

Samirr u just wantin' a punch in the eye now arent ya? hahaahahahahah

nqwan - thanks man....i like that kit most cuz of the evo 5 look...and that the fog lights are in thr front and not all the way in the back like stock....and i like how its not super low(best for Auto-X) and the rear has the cool vents with an uneven look...soooo sweeeeeet that kit and the prova side skirts would be one bad azz set up....

i can get giken...jus the price is nutty....=P if my girl gets the new wrx this year i ll prolly jus buy her the kit.....

the Giken seats aren t bad....they LOOK comfy....but i l prolly go and test it out =)

VERY nice!!

nqwan-do you have any pics of the front, and now how do we get it over here?
gary501 01-19-2002 01:27 PM

Protouring,

I'm working on it,

If i find the pricing reasonable, i will organise a group buy and have a large shipment shipped over.

It's SUnday there today, so i won't find out anything until Monday.

the front is the same oem front lip spoiler that we have. only the sideskits and rear underspoiler differ.
protouring72 01-21-2002 08:20 PM

bump

don't want this thread getting lost, I really like this kit!
gary501 01-21-2002 08:29 PM

That Kit is not the OEM Australian kit, i was on the phone for hours and NO SUBARU dealer there is familiar with that kit.
We are now requesting info form Japan as to who makes that kit.
Anyone who knows whose car that is, please find out what kit that is so i can get it.

heres my opinion (if anybody cares...)
if the kit was made by a japanese company, i'd assume more pictures of it would be available by now. i'm beginning to think that its either a custom job or an oem kit that will be available for upcoming impreza models. if it is indeed an aftermarket kit, than its probably still in its prototype stages...

is it me or does the rear look cheap? it looks like it would break easily... the rest of it looks great though.
