04 STi scoop for GC hoods

A VW buddy sent me this pic and was wondering if anyone knew who makes these.

Looks great!!!! I like the angular lines of that scoop. Goes good with the hood vents.

I'd like to see a wider shot of the car to see it with the rest of the car.

If you notice, those cars are from the UK. Also, the guy at the right of the pic seems interested as well. :lol:

The thing is no one seems to know if those are custom or made by a vendor. I'll but that shizzy on Scoobynet and see If I get any leads.

Is that the same part # as the one on the MY04? If so.. it's incredible that the footprint is the same size as the ones on the GCs..

Somebody PLEASE find out how to get these - been looking for an STi or bigger GC scoop for a long time.
On a side note: I don't believe that the GC scoop base is the same as the new age ones, otherwise this would have been done a long time ago by someone.

Yes I have these scoops.
But I find them a bit expensive at the moment.
They are available for both GC8 and for the 2001-2002 WRX
I can also get them in Carbon fibre ,waiting for the first ones to test on a car to see how it fits.
CF is better cause you don't need to paint them.
They look very good in real I must say.
This is a dutch car.
At this moment an unpainted one costs $ 195 shipped to the US.

I dont like it either. Looks like a giant dorsal fin from a dolphin when looking at it from a profile... seems fishy.

I will ask the guys who make them if they have some more pics.
I have one in silver coming but before this one is painted and I can take a pic of it installed we are a few weeks further.The first Carbon ones I expect to have in about one week ,can also make some pics of those.
Price will be around $ 220 for the CF one.
The other ones are made of glassfibre.
Compared to the new STI scoop I think it looks very good, that one is a bit oversized.
