stole it from the dealership that I bought it from. The good news is that I got an 04 sti with under 20,000 miles for 23,000. Plus my trade in of a crappy civic lowering the price to 19,000. Someone help me. I need either a new middle part, or a new wingless trunk. Help a poor brother out.

Sucks dude. Some day the lawmakers of this great land will do something to actually discourage stealing. Until then, we are all on our own.
I would suggest getting a whole new wing. There are some wings out there that attach to the lower half of the STI stock wing. INGS or something like that. But it is hella expensive. Maybe trade with the guy who has it. Or make a deal with a company that sells the top half wings. They will probably want a lower half for the WRX owners looking for both. Also, try posting something to the classifieds threads. WTT or WTB.

I just picked up the car a week ago. The wing got stolen, my hard wire kit for my valentine is on the way. My apline system is comming. I'm in the mode of trying to find a different wing or even better wing less. THanks for all the neg. feedback guys. I'll take some more pics of the better parts to my car. Lets put it this way. I just picked up the car a week ago, and I'm in the process of trying to undid what the thieves and douch bags have done to the car. Give me a few weeks, and I'll report back. And yes I know the wing is gay, its not like i wanted to take it off. Yet, thanks for all the truthful feedback.

if u guys look more closely at the picture, u can see that the top half of the wing was chopped off and not stolen....if it was stolen, there wouldnt be anything above the crease line on the sides...

I like the Wings West Prowing. I've seen em on a few cars and they look sick. The only thing is that you would have to fill in those holes from the sti spoiler and get your trunk repainted.

Well, I bought the car from a Cadilac dealer in Charlotte NC. I asked about the wing. They said that it was there, and then one day it was gone. They also said that the person that owned it before me was 60 years old. What 60 year old buys an STi. So. . . The wing is gross. And I'm not proud of it. I don't even want a wing at all. Any ideas on how much it would cost to get the holes filled (17 of them if I remember) and get it re painted? As for the radio, I have a day off tomorrow and am going to install the speakers. My cd player won't be here till friday but I figure I can get a head start. Thanks for your feed back.

Those things are held on with a cable that wraps through the whole wing and is bolted under the hood. Then 3 bolts on each side under (over when it's on the car) 2, 2 screw panels. The cable could be cut pretty easilly and there is some slack. It's not there for security, it's to keep the wing on the car is it gets ripped of in an accident.
Mine, with the extention inbetween (that most of you dislike) still has that cable, the bolts, plus an additional anchor through all 3 peices that's a bear to get to. I'd get a more subtle replacement wing than the stock STi one. Not that I dislike the STI wing, but it gets annoying seeing it through the rear view mirror all the time. Which is the real reason why mine is taller.

just get a wingless trunk, like the wrx sedan or rs sedan trunklid. im sure its a better option then patching and painting the stock trunk.

I don't like it either. This is why i'm tyring to fix it asap. Well an update, I got a hard wire kit for the V1, I also got a cd player and also two speakers. I got some pimp speakers that didn't even require spacers. They also sound amazing. Thanks to everyone's honesty. Where can one buy the top half?
