missdawn 01-19-2005 07:52 AM

Umm...I'm really proud/thrilled/happy to be driving a Subie, too, but I really like the look.
txl146 01-19-2005 07:53 AM

did you do that using Photoshop? great job.

I like the badging. I think that things seems too barren back there without it.

Heritage? What Heritage? Only Imprezas and Foresters sold in North America get the wideassbadge treatment. Oh, the heritage of spending your money to drive a rolling billboard.. how quaint.

:p
f4phantomii 01-19-2005 09:50 AM

I think it looks better with the Subaru badge, but it sure is a lot easier to clean without them.
wrxsubaruwrx 01-19-2005 10:03 AM

Debadged....
1.dont have to worry about my car getting scratched by someone who thinks they need the badge more than me .
2.Easier wash/dry wax.
3.Love the look
4.I owe nothing to subaru they did not give me the car so I feel no need to advertise for them .
5.I have debadged every car I have owned because of above 4 .
imprezza01 01-19-2005 10:48 AM

Debadged just looks so nice and so clean
moger21 01-19-2005 11:57 AM

personaly i think it looks way too plain with the car debadged

That about sums it up...

And for those that have tried to hand wax their own car ^^ refer to #2 above... It makes a huge difference.
Sevaru 01-19-2005 01:56 PM

it wouldnt hurt, just dont scratch ur car like some ppl do.
GetRDone 01-19-2005 02:17 PM

f the naysayers, they don't mean a thing. it's your car, just like its your dog, do what you like.

phyzical 01-19-2005 02:28 PM

^^ Can I take your vette for a spin? :p
wrx plus 01-19-2005 02:30 PM

I have thought of doing it, but my car already confuses the heck out of people, because it's got a reverse scoop and is RWD.
rockt104 01-19-2005 02:30 PM

i dont think it is allowed for STX, so I have not done it...but, if i could i would probably remove the WRX and keep the SUBARU, or swap it for IMPREZA. I guess i just like symmetry.
RoadRageDev 01-19-2005 02:31 PM

I'm actually debadging my baby today. I've been meaning to get around to it just been too lazy and didn't have a heat gun.
brcewane 01-19-2005 02:45 PM

I had thought about doing it but I have a WRB early model 02 and I fear being able to see the leters because of faded paint
NWWagon 01-19-2005 04:43 PM
did you do that using Photoshop? great job.
Yup... compleatly new to it too..
emnm79 01-19-2005 07:06 PM
i dont think it is allowed for STX
true, imo thats a pretty stupid rule... wait nevermind, I forgot that debaging gives you elevendy more ponies  and lowers your drag by a million

[/offtopic]
runnah 01-19-2005 07:23 PM

far off topic but let me ask this.

What about debagding the "subaru" from the hatch. Taking the "star" logo and centering that on the rear and putting a "i" logo on the front?

confused?
NWWagon 01-19-2005 07:40 PM

I'll try it when I get home but I think it'll look to Ford like doing that. I was playing around and took the WRX logo off even took the key hole out, and it looked really cool. But doingt the key hole wouldn't be easy in reality, thats something left to the pros.
only1agam 01-19-2005 07:50 PM

i debadge my 99 OBS (the Subaru) and it looks a LOT better it seemed to cluttered b4.... then i put the SUBARU on the front license plate holder. and it looks a lot better
Bumble Bee 03 01-19-2005 09:27 PM

looks a lot better without!!!
NWWagon 01-19-2005 11:44 PM

Bump for more votes from you overnighters

the one problem with that is that the star emblem is curved to fit the grill and it won't line up flat along the hatch.
i dont think it is allowed for STX...
Yet ANOTHER REASON to say 'screw the fookin' rulebook'....
subablunc 01-20-2005 04:03 PM

No.

Seems like only wagon men are debadging
PoopRSkupe 01-20-2005 04:14 PM

i think it's different from car to car depending on what else is going on with your exterior looks. i dont like debadging, but on the pic you provided i think it looks a lot better WITHOUT the "s u b a r u"

Agree, but debadged is my 2 cents
