Anyone know where in the hell I could buy a blue I Badge for my 01 RS?? MRT sells them, but they are in Austrailia and their currency exchange from $70 AUD to USA dollars comes out to $56 for a badge....I've checked their authorized dealers but they dont carry the badge, only for 02+ cars(not the 100x50mm size) since theyre a different size...someone please help me :eek:

ps - No, I don't want pink please.....while pink is masculine in japan...I'm just not a fan of it for myself...although it does look nice on black cars :)

Thank you for the reply but that isn't the correct badge...I'm not looking for pink OR green...strictly blue like I have posted...the 02+ is a completely different size and doesn't fit properly. I've even talked to subiegal but she doesn't carry them and I'm not paying $56 for a piece of plastic with paint on it outside the US lol :lol:

Start with a pink badge, sand the paint, paint it blue. Easiest way to do it here in the states I'm afraid.

Thanks rush05wrx, but thats the same one that North Ursalia carries at [url]www.subaruwrxparts.com[/url] ... I called him up to check on the size and the new 02+ I badges are actually bigger and have more of an oval shape :(

ok...first off...I greatly appreciate people being helpful and wanting to reply...but please do read before you post....I've gotten links to suby dude already and it clearly states on the page that it fits only 02/03+ I own a 2001 RS and I just posted not more than a few minutes ago that the 02+ I Badges are too big and too oval shaped to fit....also subaruguineparts.com doesn't carry them I talked to Jamie first and its the same situation...it seems to be that alot of the dealers order their I badges from SOA

You are probably not going to find a [COLOR=Indigo][COLOR=Blue]Blue[/COLOR][/COLOR] badge for a [B]GC[/B] RS. Your best bet is to order the Pink Badge from:

Sand the paint off, or remove it with thinner and repaint.
It is an easy task. What I did to mine was paint a few coats of translucent/transparent blue Testors Model Paint, then added a coat of silver. My badge now has a blue anodized appearance.

The picture of the badge you posted is for 02+. I don't think they made the GC8 badge in blue.

I did the whole sanding and painting thing with my 93 grill emblem. First I took it off, used STEEL WOOL on it and painted it with (What else) nothing more than nail polish (supplied by my wife). It looks great to this day, and you can paint it any colour you want.

I bought a really cool i emblem off of Ebay a while ago...but I had to sell it to a guy with a blue RS since it was too small for my 02...it was for the 2001 and older models. Since that's what you're looking for, you might want to check ebay.
