UPDATE.. Blue Lights Research and Development
Hey everyone... its me! :D
Anyway... I told everyone that I would have something running by early June... Guess what???
I DO!
I am currently running a very deep blue (close to VW blue) on my MY98-01 style Impreza 2.5RS.
I can get this to work on every single piece of the back light dash except for the Odometer (I can turn that aqua green) I could get it darker, but you wouldnt be able to read it AT ALL during the day.
I am going to be running this new set up until the end of the month... If everything is working perfectly fine in my car, I will start taking orders.
I'm thinking the price will go to about $25.. maybe $20, not quite sure yet :)
After I take 10 orders... I will be able to start research on Red Lights!

Just imagine.. your stock green back lit gauges (you know, your speedometer, tach, etc) Just imagine them in a very deep blue. NOT indiGLO!
For previous customers... especially those who purchased the climate control kit... i apologize if your plastic melted...
I'm making sure that the stuff i am using now doesnt do that, thats why I'm waiting a month before officially selling anything.
Once again... just to let the boys and girls in Canada know... If you plan on purchasing... please arrange a GB in your local chapter. I hope to have GB's of 15+ for a discount. I cant afford international shipping to various members. Vancouver and Tornoto stepped up to the plate big time the last time i sold this.
So please if you have any questions or comments (positive or negative) I'd love to hear them!

Deep Blue hunh? Well, now that I'm considering getting the MY03 Wagon Rex, that should give you MORE than enough time to pull THAT blue out the hat....!

saw jai: whats in cluded is the necessary materials and instructions to change your grenn backlight of main gauges and climate control from green to blue.

OK.. well I've played around with them a bit... and let me garuntee (sp) that the gauges are a true blue.... I know you wont believe me until i get pics :D
anyway.. the only problem i am seeing, is a dimming of the red needles. you cn see the base of the needles really well.. but dimming occurs towards the speed you are measuring.
anyway... i can live it :)
maybe others cant.. I'll let the texas guys give their opinions over the next few weeks.

Hey Kev are you still talking about the one from LAST weekend or did you do something to mod those? I've seen them ine person, they look pretty sweet and are something different. they're definately something I would consider. hey kev since you owe me a fuse....just kidding I may wait out for the red ones.

Ah but heres the difficult question:
I have the Indiglo Gauges. Can you make a kit to turn all my other interior control lights I.E. stereo, AC, etc from that green into blue so they match my indiglo?

Ah...blue gauges...sweeeeeeeet. How close do they resemble the blue on this head unit?

I got a my02 2.5rs and I would be up to doing the conversion to blue gagues...man I asked around for the past few months for that...you finally came around!!!!! plz contact me about this. I will be a tester as long as you don't blow up my car and if worst comes to worst it can be put back to tthe way it was.

I have been doing my own mini-research and came up with result that it is impossible since the cluster has integrated green film (cars tried: my Forester, GC8 MY00) so I quit the idea
my question is how could you pass through this or your bulbs were in condoms?
(thing is that if your bulbs have condoms, you are lucky and the mod is super easy, I did it with leds/resistors-hard way, but if bulbs are clear - your cluster has the green stuff...)
