My car got egged and im wonder whats the best way to get it off?:furious:

If you do it soon enough, a good wash should do. Do not let it dry or it'll suck trying to get it off. Dish soap might help break down the egg, but that will also leave your car with no wax (if there is any on there).

I did do it asap but not all of it came off(its pitch black out side).

STEP 2: Remove by hand the egg shell pieces that are not dried onto the car.
STEP 3: Wipe up as much of the egg as you can with a soft towel, being careful not to scratch the paint with eggshell remnants.
STEP 4: Soak a towel in a solution of half warm water and half white vinegar.
STEP 5: Place the saturated towel on the egg stain, letting it sit for 15-20 minutes.
STEP 6: Remove the wet towel, wipe away remnants and dry the area with a soft, dry towel.
STEP 7: Take your car to a body shop if the paint or clear coat is cracked, crinkled, scratched or bubbling up. You may need to have to have the car spot-painted or completely repainted.
Having a good wax job helps...
Call your insurance company and see if its covered.

mine did! i cleaned mine off, went to bed, woke up and there were more eggs on it. Now it has weird spots on it.

File a police report, just in case you need the panels to be repainted.
PLUS if there are numerous cases that happened that night, and they catch the guys you might get some reimbursement.

My car got egged and the paint looked like that to. So I used black wax to fill it in, because my car is java black pearl. I let the wax dry and then wiped it off and it filled the cracks in. Then I waxed my car realy well so that the black wax wont come out of the cracks in the paint. You can't even notice the cracks in the poaint, unless you look real close.

You may have to color sand and polish the car. I'd take it to a couple of body shops and ask thier opinions and recommendations. That happened to my wife's previous 97 integra visiting a relative. Those marks are damage to the paint due to the impact of the eggs.

Looks like impact from the eggs. I would file it with the insurance company. Freaking annoying vandalizing!! If it were my house I'd catch them on camera =)

Here is the problem:
I HAVE caught kids before that pulled stupid stuff to my property. Ran them down on a 50 (they never saw it coming.) They were ~15. I called the cops like a good citizen and told them I had these kids in front of me, blah blah blah. Cops come and pick them up and say they'll take care of it. Ask the kids where they live and they tell, I hear. Cop says "thanks, we'll take it from here." They're only a block away, so after the car drives away I go to the next block to make sure they're not just getting dropped off.
Sure enough, the cop drives to the house, stops for less than 5 minutes, and drives away. I watched this and was PISSED. At least take them in and fingerprint and put them behind bars for a half hour. Make them feel like they did something wrong! Well, now we have random things happening that is no doubt from the same kids. Granted its only a car, but I can't imagine what I'll do if I caught them in the act doing something to it. Its obvious the police would be useless so like I said, what do I do if I catch them??

Yeah this weekend i'm going to claybar the whole car and wax it. It really sucks that those stupid little bastards have to go and damage other peoples' properties. I'm sure they'd feel the same way i do if they were paying off a 30k car, but right now they don't so i hope one day they crash and burn in their rice mobile civics. *vents*

thats exactly what my gas tank cover looked like after they egged my car, thankfully they can't throw worth the shiz and the other 3 they threw hit passenger windows and front rim. but ya, the area has to be sanded and painted.

a clay bar isnt going to do a damned thing. Clay bars take off impurities sitting on the top layer of clearcoat. They do NOTHING for scratches, swirl marks, or the egg thing.

yup sure enough your gonna have to live with that for the rest of your life. i have like 3 egg marks on my car. i found out who egged my car, some street racing team. <-----civic team. but yea later down the road i meet them face to face and knocked one fool out and the other took off like a bitch. never been egged on since. :D

I got egged on Halloween... wasn't very happy either. Luckily they only threw a couple eggs, one on the hood and roof. I now have a nice egg print on my hood from the egg shells... as far as any yolk damage, I got it in time but I'm still going to polish those areas to make sure.
