...emu... 09-09-2006 03:56 PM

Something similar happened to me a few weeks back at a golf course... I parked in the farthest spot and when I came back by rear bumber was all scratched and dinged up... Fuking as*holes
BOOST3DWRX 09-09-2006 05:48 PM

yah some how I park in the middle of no where and still manage to get scratches and dents on my car it must be a magnet for it or somthing so I feel your pain
gundamwrx 09-09-2006 07:17 PM

i feel your pain. I believe wrb subies are a magnet :(
OBPNUT 09-09-2006 07:44 PM

No, black gets it too. Mine got dinged at work, no way to prove who did it though.
Seems like every time I wash my car, I find another ding.
yah some how I park in the middle of no where and still manage to get scratches and dents on my car
Maybe it's because you park so far away...people get mad because we are better than them. Jealousy is a bitch. :furious:
Dhcheckeracer 09-09-2006 07:48 PM

true about finding dings when you wash them.. i get so many its so annoying.. and mines SGM.. i have to park at school and its a crowded lot and im always finding dings and scratches..but thats why i have my shock sensor set VERY high.if someone taps it it goes off on them and its ANNOYING..hoping it helps
wrb2006sti 09-09-2006 08:39 PM

i put these people in the same catogory as car thiefs they do it as they are jelous of your nice ride or the just dont think and wing there door open and give u a ding. i work to hard to keep my car clean and i park far from all cars all the time. Sometimes i think about getting a beater and just say F*** IT
but my car is one of my great pleasures of being a human and when i stop having a nice car The AS* HOLES win!
fulkee01 09-10-2006 09:48 AM

Dings
Summer just killed my STI. 4 door dings in 3 months. I know where one of them came from b/c they parked next to me and I even thought "there should be enough room that even if they fling the door open I'll be good". Not so - two red paint door dings on my beautiful subie. Consequence of living anywhere near people with beaters. They just don't give a *****.
drees 09-10-2006 01:30 PM
Consequence of living anywhere near people
Fixed that quote for you. People suck and generally don't give a crap. Like all the people who constantly litter, smokers (or is it people who litter tend to smoke?) seem to be the worst leaving their butts everywhere and I watch them bounce off my windshield when they throw them out the window, or step on them when the leave them on the beach or sidewalks. Not to give all smokers a bad rap, there are some of you that are considerate and don't litter.
kogs 09-10-2006 02:07 PM

I hear ya, it seems like no matter how far you park away from other people, when you come back theres always a car parked right beside you. Even if there are many empty spots around.
smdandb2 09-10-2006 03:11 PM

When people park far away from parking spots the ******** KNOW you are trying to avoid dings and scratches. I stopped doing that a long time ago.
stryfewrx 09-10-2006 04:07 PM

Could be worse. Could come outside to this 10 minutes before you have to leave for work because you didn't notice it the night before:

werd. when i look down the side of my car the driver and passanger door have it the worst. at least 12 door dings on each side
Lamont 09-10-2006 09:11 PM

My car is two weeks old and I got dinged twice. I know they were done on purpose, as I made an effort to park way the hell away from everyone.

I agree, I am actually starting to dislike the wrb more and more by the day, Im thinking of going to a dark silver color and going wingless, maybe I wouldnt have as much attention drawn to it then...

Whoever did that forgot to take it out of your tire. And forgot to use an exacto knife. And forgot that subie owners don't get mad... they get stabby..

SubaruDriver502 09-11-2006 03:21 PM

I feel better I aint the only one (in a way). That tire one sucks! Waiting for my paycheck friday......
ed8dx 09-11-2006 05:00 PM

It doesn't matter if you park close or far. I parked close one day at a target store, I was only gone 20mins and come back to 4 dings on my front passenger side door. Then a week later I walk out to my car to see some ass using my trunk lid to rest his backpack while tying his shoes on my bumper. Then when I confront him he acts like I shouldn't care, saying "it's just a car".
jason2004STI 09-11-2006 05:04 PM

I feel your pain
I've got an '04 STi, and 3 out of the 4 doors were dinged within the 1st 3 months... Suck that people can't keep their fat, greasey, hating fingers off other peoples nice cars.. Yes, I too park in BFE, everytime, still get dings...

Peace
Jason

MF-DIF 09-12-2006 02:35 PM

I got to the point where I don't even car anymore. No one messes with the car since I always leave it covered in dirt and mud. :D
DieselClown 09-12-2006 03:01 PM

i seriously hate people like that. I was in a friend's car the other day and he backed into a tight parking spot with his big town car and I told him he's not going to fit, so he goes "it's ok, just a little lovetap will do" so I stopped him and told him I'd get out of the car to guide him. I told him I hate when I come back to my car and see my bumper all scratched up because people can't park their cars. He still didn't get it, but at least he'll think twice next time. Idiots! :smack:
y not vinny 09-12-2006 03:56 PM

I just got my 03 wagon, and i keep my eye on it like a hawk at work. Im just sick of people in general, so selfish and cant even hold their hand around their door so their hand will prevent dents. I ALWAYS do this, why cant people do the same back. About a year back, i was with my mom at a store and was waiting for her to get outside, i was waiting at my moms car(01 acura cl type s). This car had NO dings at all.. pretty amazing. I watch as this dumb mo fo lady opens her door, hitting the rear drivers side wheel well 2 TIMES; no dents luckily, but the fact stands  . i was like omfg. and this other lady in the car tried giving me crap saying it was my fault... the nerve of some people... dont worry, she recieved quite a scolding. By anyhow... do you guys recommend an alarm that has a very good shock sensor, like door ding sensitive?.. my dad has a viper alarm on his yamaha r1.. any suggestions..?

what is that, it looks like an M16 firing pin to me. But that might from spending too long in the Iraq.
theostubbs 09-12-2006 04:53 PM

I squeeze into the spots just as if i was driving a beater. I wont get into the really really tight spots, and if at all possible, i'll stay away from the passenger side of cars (SUV's in particular). I find that the passenger is either a kid, or a guest who is not accustomed to opening the door and has a much higher probability of opening it too far too fast.

Sofar i've got a few door scratches, but nothing thats through the paint. one day i'll have to get some polish, and blend down the clear coat to remove the scratch, then wax er up.

I find most my paint damage comes from gravel on the roads, rock chips, and rock dents. Although, my city is known for rocks on roads.
djdimensions 09-13-2006 12:01 AM

100$ thats it bro i just spent 1350 getting my car all fixed from keymarks and 3 weeks later some fuker does it all over again
ErikMarks 09-13-2006 08:55 AM

My dad always taught me not to park way away from people but to find 2 vehicles to park between that are worth more than the one you're driving, and never park next to a minivan or large SUV with beads or flowers or crap like that hanging from the mirror.

Good in theory except I've seen too many rich bitches who don't give a **** anyway

I've always made it a habit to find the spots that are next to an island or curb or whatever so at least one side is protected.
It's better you noticed it then rather than notice it after your car fliped 30 times on the turnpike after a blow-out.
True, but that is with it pulled about half way out just to take the picture. There was about another 2 inches in the tire. I had come home the night before with it fully in there and didn't hear any noise whatsoever. I guess because it's practically in the sidewall and wasn't touching the ground which still leads me to believe it was planted on me in a parking spot or jammed in there by someone on purpose. Last place I was parked as a college campus right across from another STi. From there it was a 5 min drive to my house and then I noticed it the next morning.
what is that, it looks like an M16 firing pin to me. But that might from spending too long in the Iraq.
Ha, I honestly don't even know. It wasn't a nail, but the ****er was like 5-6 inches long in total.
drees 09-13-2006 03:06 PM

Yeah, no way a nail like that made it in there just laying on the road.
MeanEditor 09-13-2006 08:22 PM

You should see the side of my daily beater 95 civic hatch. It is shameful, there are HUGE, I wont even call them dings, giant dents, in my driver's door. One is a big red streak from a stupid hippy chick who had all these lame hippy stickers all over her POS red escort wagon. She left the car parked in the same spot for four days so I know it was her. And I even saw her and she never said anything. Sadly she has a child so there will be more of her kind. Nice car, or Beater does not matter... the unwashed masses will **** your **** up and then grin cause its funny.
