Got the ProSport gauges installed

The gauges look sweet. However, I don't remember my Autometer gauge reading ~28hG when not in boost. I am Cobb Stage 2 and only get to about 13-14 PSI at max boost. I thought it was supposed to be more than that, so maybe the gauge isn't completely accurate? Anyone else find PS gauges were inaccurate?

Just installed mine yesterday, have the exact same problem.. reads about 3psi less than what im actually proven to be running :(

Anyone else?

Call the manufacturer for troubleshooting guidance. There may be an easy fix.
You get what you pay for though. ;)

electrical for me as well. i have the same gauge he has only mine is green.

I have the glow shift gauges, They are identical besides the outer ring. I have had no problems with my gauges...I find my boost gauge very accurate. Stock everything on my car and it's reading just a tick under 15lbs of boost, just as Subaru promised. The great thing about glow shift is I have 7 colors to choose from in stead of just white and green. I had auto meter gauges before at twice the price and were not near as accurate as these.

Call Prosport and get a replacement under warranty, sounds like the sensor is off both ways from zero, it sounds like a calibration problem.
I have their boost gauge and it reads perfectly when running, but reads just shy of 1psi when the engine is off, so i just let it be since i only care what it does when its actually working. (BTW, im running electric boost gauge)

I have the blue electric boost from Prosport and using my UTEC/logging, they are off by .5 psi if that at some times, so +123456789 because for the price and how accurate they are, totally rule. Haven't had any problems with that yet...the EGT on the other hand... ;)

What is the PSI supposed to be at for STG2?
| Trigun001 | 02-24-2007 09:18 PM |

I just got my Prosport electric hooked up last night I was hitting 14psi, stage 2 WRX with AP. I also had the AP hooked up at the same time and they both reading the same psi.

im getting a set of prosport gauges this coming weekend, hopefully mine dont have this problem. but is there something wrong with the EGT?? im getting one of those in the deal too..
| spoolindc2 | 02-25-2007 03:26 PM |
hmm sounds like prosport isn't too pro about their readings... i do love the look of the gauge tho...

I sure do hope prosport chimes in here in this thread. I'm sure there are a few people that were trying to but these that aren't now. I for one will wait to see if they are accurate or not before i purchase them.

I just bought the gauges i have the BOost gauge not installed Electrical 52mm Green/White. and im waiting on EGT and Oil Press
im at Cobb stage 2 with Invidia N1 Race Cat-Back and Invidia V2 Catless Down PIPE.
I know in forth at around 3500 - 4000 RPM im pushing around 15.5 PSI give or take
You can always check if the gauge is accurate or not, with the A.P.

how are you checking the psi with the ap?
| Matt_H | 02-25-2007 07:42 PM |
With the V2 it has the live data.
| Matth3w | 02-25-2007 07:56 PM |
oh ok i have v1
| Boxer4u | 02-25-2007 08:12 PM |
you can read live boost with the AP V.1 too! Just plug in the AP to your OBDII port. The AP will turn on and selct read live boost. I belive that is the correct order.
You can always read the manual and see the exact instructions to "read live Boost".

14psi is normal for the WRX. call us up or email us direct if you are having any problems, we stand behind our products 100%.
IA Performance in AZ tested our gauges last year along with Greddy, autometer, & Defi. The results were surprising...We knew how accurate our gauges were, but were surprised by how inaccurate the competitors were. We came out as the most accurate Boost gauge in that group! Of course anything can happed during shipping, so we will gladly test/check/fix/replace anything we carry.

i would say check to make sure you wired the gauge to a steady constant source. otherwise the readings could be off the mark. i believeit has to stay constant through start-up. correct me if i am wrong. when i installed my autometer electronic boost gauge i wired it too the wrong wire and it was completely out of whack.

i'm sure the wiring is correct.
at this point, i don't know if is a gauge or a car related problem. the car feels normal, but this is my first turboed car.
