Apr Ftw!

It seems that HKS requires some cutting of the bumper while APR is a direct bolt-on. it also looks like HKS is more aggressive looking because it is angled 'steeper' at the rear than the APR. I do like the fact that APR installed looks 'cleaner' than HKS. i would love to see pics of actual owners' cars as opposed to the manufacturers pics.

APR, hands down...the HKS looks like a 10 year old made it

HKS Kansai FTW.I like how it goes far forward to the rear diff.APR seems to end early towards the front.

can anyone confirm that the jdm rear spats will fit with the hks kansai service rear diffuser?

I have the APR on mine right now, and I wish I had the HKS one. it's hardly noticeable with the APR.
| 1meanrex | 08-08-2007 01:48 PM |
hks one is way hotter. thats what i'll be getting very soon.
| WebMasterP | 08-08-2007 01:50 PM |
HKS one looks like it's more effective from a functional standpoint, but that's speculation from a visual standpoint.

I have the HKS one. Reason I went with HKS is that I can still get to the rear tow hook. The APR one looks like it blocks the tow hook. I frequent the track and if I need to be pulled out of a runoff I don't want to remove the rear diffuser to do so.
| runwrxrun | 08-08-2007 11:19 PM |
go kansai for that aggressive noticeable look. go with apr if you want that mild subtle look. id go with the kansai because it looks just like what the evos rock in japan
| hyp36rmax | 08-08-2007 11:49 PM |
I'd rock the HKS Kansai as it is very much functional and tested. However i have the APR on my EVO :) (HKS Kansai requires the JDM EVO7 Rear Bumper on my car..)
Subaru = HKS Kansai FTW!

If you want aggressive, get the Mature diffuser:

apr ftw
| WikdRX | 08-09-2007 08:20 AM |
That Mature diffuser is a bit much if its a street car IMO
| Knightmare69 | 08-09-2007 09:27 AM |
Why the hell are these things so F'n expensive?!

I've got the APR, and it looks agressive enough for me. But I like things to balance out well. I think the HKS is a bit much.
| Scooby steve33 | 11-13-2007 04:12 PM |
i have to ask, were can i get one of the "Mature" diffusers i have never seen them before them before and that looks amazing
| The_Black_WRX | 11-13-2007 04:48 PM |
i have the APR and i am about to put the JDM rear spats on
the APR in subtle yet agressive for me i will say it dosent really stand out that much on a black car

Here's my APR. Sorry for the cruddy pic. I agree, it is subtle and not too easy to install but I like it better than the stock diffuser...
Old thread but oh well..
