whatever it is, So-Cal has already won :)
suby_dude 01-27-2004 11:02 AM

wow!

thanks sounds like its going to be a real fun season.

i have gilbert working on the details.

but basically we'll have a point system for each region... prizes for top honors to those who register and we'll try to do something for those who place nationally...

we'll have to determine prizes on continuied participation.

details will be completed shortly....

when does your autox season start?

a couple weeks ago.

It's nice living in Houston, year round golf and autocross.
KC 01-27-2004 11:23 AM

New England? April, if we're lucky. Ends in October.
Subie Gal 01-27-2004 12:03 PM

shouldnt you be doing an official contingency
with the Region/SCCA divisions?

instead of something unofficial and undocumented?

There are clubs outside of the SCCA that have high Subaru participation too.

just a good idea to have a CONTINGENCY
in written format, so there is no question as to what's what.

good idea to support said series,
SCCA or otherwise,
by offering a contingency....

not condoning anything
just wondering why not go through the regions themselves?

support the series,
and be an official sponsor?
motorsports NEEDS more vendors willing to do such a thing,
just best to protect yourselves - both vendor and competitor
by making something like this official and documented.

that's all i'm saying :)
odyss3y 01-27-2004 01:14 PM

working with the scca would probably be quite a bitch. like a growing company, when something is small, it is a lot easier to do the work yourself then have to work with someone to get it done, especially if youre unsure of what may happen (ie participation levels at each region, region participation, etc)
suby_dude 01-29-2004 02:39 PM

here you go folks...

not all there yet... work in progress though...

Question 1... are the 'finishing positions' determined by:

A) Raw time overall?
B) Raw time in class?
C) PAX?

Q2....
What about those that compete in a Novice class that don't run in their particular class... anything for best Subie Novice? ;)

--kC
suby_dude 01-29-2004 02:50 PM

PAX

oh btw... right now we have 1st place 2nd place... only.. but like i said... depending on participation... we'll can defintely increase that.

SD
KC 01-29-2004 02:55 PM

I'm going to announce this for my region, but in the intrest in fairness, I need to remove myself from it, since it is PAX based.

All administer it, but that's it.

Ohh.. one more question... is this ONLY SCCA? I ask becuase there are other clubs that run in the region on different days.... one could win just based solely on attendance going every weekend, but coming in last. ;)

Man, you need to do RallyCross! We had 22 Subies at the last RallyCross, that's way more then show up for the local Solo II.:(
stxwrxracer 01-30-2004 02:21 PM

How about a separate set of points for National Tours and Pro Solos? You're probably already on it, just curious.
