Just had my fog light covers stolen!

Hey guys, just woke up this morning to my Black STi without any fog light covers :mad: . I'm about to buy some new ones from vividracing, any ideas on how to make it so that they won't get stolen again? I was thinking about putting them on and somehow attaching them to the bumper with zipties?

you can try glue... or you can just take them off when you park at night
the covers pop off with a screwdriver...

The covers have that slit, Im guessing for air, but it makes a very convenient handle. What you do is glue a whole ****load of tacks there. When they grab it, they'll be in for a surprise.

I like the tack idea. And putting lithium grease in the vent. Give them a nice greasy sore. Or get rid of them and get JDM fogs. The fog surrounds are more difficult to steal, though someone stole my right one.

Man I'd be careful with the tack thing though. Like, not that I would ever steal, but if I one day turned into an idiot and thought hmm.... I want those fog covers then went to steal them and got a hand full of tacks chances are I'd be really pissed. What started out as a jacking of some not too expensive fog covers could turn into a very expensive keying/kicking/stabbing/bashing/breaking.

Do not glue on the fog covers. My friend did that because he heard folks got their covers stolen. Someone used a screwdriver and pry the edges off and left marks on the bumper and paint. If they really want it let them have it instead of damaging something else up.

^i think that was probably the best advice...i guess everytime i park the car, ill have to hop out real quick, pop them both out, and put them in the trunk. btw, what do people use around here for security? clutch lock? club? i was also looking into one of the two.

Or you could do what I did and install the fogs. I got tired of my car having the STi logo in 3 different places on the front of the car. Installation is a breeze since the car is pre-wired for them, just install bezels, lamps, relay, and switch. They come with instructions and I got mine from SubaruGenuineParts, just make sure you get the right bezels to match your car.
