Graham Goode in the UK.

www.grahamgoode.com, I think. I got mine May of 2001 for $488 shipped to my door. Awesome!
sonicblue 11-06-2002 12:48 PM

If you really have the $500 to burn, go for it. If you want to save some serious cash and use that $500 for some HP gains, check out my mod in this thread:

for some reason the link doesn't work:(

sonic....wow  looks good...actually, i have money put aside for my vishnu stage 0....i'm actually helping my gf "find" my bday/ christmas gift :D
BOY 11-06-2002 01:03 PM

Personally I'd say spend the $$ on performance. Then after I said, "hey, its not my car" I'd say be careful you get what you pay for. You can get morrette replicas cheap but many are crap.
sonicblue 11-06-2002 01:22 PM

Money not spent on Morette's = 50% of Vishnu stage 0 cost.

Then just find 2 or 3 lonely widows to "escort" and you're home free.:p

puahahahahahaaaa LOL...the funny thing is my gf probably won't mind either....puahahahahaahah LOL

but yeah, like i said i have $$$ put away for my vishnu0.....i'll have my springs, sway bars, and rear strut tower bar by next month....i'll have new tires by march.....and i'm all set for next spring :D

i just want some morettes for the hell of it:p
sonicblue 11-06-2002 01:30 PM

Right behind on the rear sway bar/strut bar. I'm hoping for a long, skinny box under my Christmas tree (with one small box for endlinks next to it.......)
Dismo 11-06-2002 01:43 PM

the economy is doing pretty well....i think this is going to be a wonderful christmas:D
BOY 11-06-2002 02:10 PM

What economy are you looking at.
Dismo 11-06-2002 02:15 PM

well i know for sure that hospitality is doing very well.
BOY 11-06-2002 02:18 PM

Lucky for you... then again you're in Chi-town and probably picked up a bunch of NYC business after 9/11.
MAD REX 11-06-2002 02:23 PM

For all of you talking about getting performance mods instead, you should get out of the Dress Up and Style forum

Dismo 11-06-2002 03:10 PM

yeah, the hospitality business didn't start picking up until april/ may of this year....forecasts show that hospitality is doing very well compared to pre-9/11....hospitality is stronger now than before.

Dismo 11-06-2002 03:21 PM

okay, i found 'em for $480 + shipping....now, what kind of bulbs do they use:D
BOY 11-06-2002 03:27 PM

Did you find actual morettes or knock-offs?
Dismo 11-06-2002 03:42 PM

ummmmm.......to be honest...not sure :p im buying them from ALTA PERFORMANCE.
BOY 11-06-2002 03:49 PM

Just may want to check on the originality. The price you're being quoted is quite good for real Morettes but too high for knock offs.
Dismo 11-06-2002 04:11 PM

thanx for looking out...im going to find out now.
pwrphrk 11-06-2002 04:47 PM

If Alta said they were Morettes then they are more than likely the real thing. Alta is a pretty good vendor to deal with.
pro_ra1 11-06-2002 10:24 PM

If you can wait.....
If you can wait for a little while, my Morettes are coming off b/c the EDM STi are going on. If you need 'um right away, the post from the UK sounds good. I am going to let them go cheap. BTW they are unpainted in 99.9% condition. Should be two weeks to a month maximum.

In defense against the performance crowd, with headlights as sheisty as the stock OE WRXs, you will easily outdrive your lights doing like 45 mph. Depending on where you live (unlit, windy, rural streets in the North East), I would say that these upgraded headlights could be considered a performance mod... especially the times when the deer are out and roaming.
TanXP 11-06-2002 10:55 PM

stupid deer. One ripped of the side mirror of my brothers 300Z and had to have his door replaces.
Turbo X 11-07-2002 12:51 AM

Come on Guys!! What's wrong with a guy wants a better set of Headlamp? Not only it will change the appearance of the rex in a nice way( no more bug eye) but it actually serve practial purpose; the projector beam in Morrette makes light concentrated more and not to mention the HID will work best with projector beam.

Got mine from z1-auto for 'round $500, plug and play. MOST importantly, it fits perfect on my rex without any hazard on moding the housing. Hope that help.
Dismo 11-07-2002 07:47 AM

hey everyone....thanx for all your opinions....good and/ or bad....and all your help.

i THINK my gf already ordered them from ALTA....from what i've heard and read around on the message boards, ALTA is a highly recommended vendor....but i will make sure that these are real morettes not knock-offs.

pro_ra1....thanx for looking out....i have a friend who is also looking into getting morettes....as soon as you get 'em off and ready to sell, please email me or pm me. thanx again.
pro_ra1 11-07-2002 03:32 PM

You will be happy...

I know that there were some guys saying that we should spend money on performance mods, but like you said, this is a dress up thread. You will be happy that you changed you lights to Morettes, it totally changes the look of the WRX. In fact, you don't even need a front lip to accent the look like most other JDM lights do. It looks good, mean, and all business. I would have kept mine if I wasn't going to put on a front lip. The front lip and the Morettes look too busy for me. But that's just me. The great thing about dress-up, you can do whatever you want to personalize the WRX to your tastes.

Bottom Line: You will be happy once you change the stock lights...I hate them with a passion!:D

Nate
