[Advertisment] Check out Sean's Trunkmonkeyracing.com![Advertisement]

This is a 100% rally video, some new footage, some awesome old school group B cars, and some Pike's Peak hill climb footage. It is 7.3 MB, so anyone can download it. The footage is done to "Crawling in the Dark" by Hoobastank(great song). This would be my second video, first one was on here about a month ago, and like promised earlier, I made the second one when planned.

Download it NOW!

That's your old video
i have seen it
it's cool
Spooled 04-05-2002 08:15 PM

Jack, did you click the 2nd link? That's the new one (well i haven't seen it at least).

stiguy555: You always find some way to amaze me with your video skills. Seriously, you should make more of these, haha (when and if you choose to). The music always suits the videos). Mad props to you again. :)
stiguy555 04-05-2002 11:36 PM

Lightning, yes, I poted this in OT, but since many people browse Motorsports and not OT, I reach more people by posting in MS too.

Both links are for the new video, Crawling In The Dark.
SoobATV 04-05-2002 11:37 PM

Damn, dude... great flick! I've always loved that Pikes Peak footage...
shifterkartracer 04-06-2002 08:37 AM

You are correct sir-I DO love your video. Keep 'em coming. Very nice work.

Top Video! :D

The guy stood nearest the camera in the very last shot of the 22B handbrake parking, thats me that is. :D
Stripe 04-06-2002 11:32 PM

I'll have to see it on Monday. It would take forever to download on dialup :D
RideHardIntoMyUndy's 04-07-2002 01:47 AM

you have a gift.
ArtGecko 04-07-2002 11:14 AM

Amazing!

I've seen three of these now, yours with Hoobastank, the WRC one from Speedvision with Linkin Park's 'In the End', and the Canadian Rally one with Prodigy's 'Smack my Bi*ch Up'. I've watched them so many times now, that when I see the real video, it seems all wrong. I don't want to see a band! Where are the cars?

I also downloaded your ice racing one (112MB 23 minutes!) Where is that? My 5 year old daughter and I were watching it here at the computer with her on my lap, and eventually she told me to stop turning the chair. Without realizing it, I was swinging around in my seat with the cars! That black WRX wagon in front of you is just like mine. It occured to me while I was wwatching it, that I had never seen a black wagon driving before, as no one has driven mine unless I was with them. Looks pretty nice!

I made a camera mount for my car yesterday for my first autocross this morning (which unfortunately, didn't go as planned. See my post at http://i-club.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=169653) I liked your idea of having the Trunkmonkey sticker on the intercooler scoop. I only have a ClubWRX.net sticker, but from my mount's location you really don't see much of the scoop anyway. it is behind the wiper arm too much. I'll look at moving it up some.

Anyway, nice work, and keep it up!

Got in to the office with the big pipe connection. Awesome video indeed!

Thanks, GoodFinder :)
PURE EPI 04-08-2002 08:41 PM

not too shabby my man! :D you beat me to the punch though... I have been thinking about using that song with footage for about 2 weeks now! I just don't have the equipment to do it!

They can only get better my friend....

BTW I have a really neat Japanese TV spot for Sega Rally... anyone care to host it? I'll see if I can link it in the mean time.

AS PROMISED!!!

RALLY ON //////////////////
japriljr 04-09-2002 11:17 AM

Good choice in songs! The lyrics describe Ralling perfectly!!!
The #29 Focus towards the end reminds me of my understeering WRX:lol: before I learned to drive it.
stiguy555 04-11-2002 06:53 PM

Bumpidy-boop!:D
stiguy555 04-13-2002 05:52 AM

I am already thinking about the next video, I think I will use "Freaking Out" by Adema. Might work pretty well.
Stripe 04-13-2002 08:55 AM

Finally got to watch the video.. Great footage:D
chmoorewrx 04-13-2002 10:58 AM

Extremely cool video.

I had the priviledge of seeing those Unlimited Peugeot 406s at Pikes years ago. (The Pikes Peak car with the HUGE rear wing in the video) Brought back great memories. Thanks.

I thought the Pikes Peak car was a Peugeot 405 ...:D But that must have been cool to see that kind of action in the flesh!

Thanks for enjoying the video, however, I must inform you: Because of a strain of a deadly cpu virus that came with the video, your computer will self destruct 5...4...3...2...1....BOOM....hmm...guess it was a hoax, just like Y2K. :alien:
Andrew 04-14-2002 05:20 PM

jamz 04-14-2002 09:34 PM

Very cool video. I only have one suggestion.... DIVX!
Better quality, smaller file size.

Could well be...it's been like 14 years or something! Those things were extremely cool...illegal for just about anything besides the Peak and the Dakkar. Venturi tunnels that looked like the Holland Tunnel!
chmoorewrx 08-21-2002 06:47 PM

Mountain Dew rips off I-Club member!

Hey STiguy! Mountain Dew ripped you off! Just say a new Dew commercial featuring that Crawling in the Dark song and ya know what? Did it feature skydiving or snowboards or something like that? NNNNOOOOOO. CARS! I think I know where they got the idea! :D ;)
stiguy555 08-22-2002 02:44 AM

Hmm. I wish I watched TV, maybe someday I will find the ad online.
Or I could just watch TV.... nah.
johnfelstead 08-22-2002 08:16 AM

you can sue for that you know!

Guiness were sued for copying an original idea and lost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

maybe you could get that WRC car after all. ;)

Hell, it is America. ;)
iceweazel 08-22-2002 11:41 PM

Hmm. Neat video, but I was kinda surprised it wasn't all Night stages. *shrug*

Still cool I guess. I never thought about what tunes would
typify my rallying. With a couple guys it would have been
"pressure" by Billy Joel. (IE: not fun!) But lately its more like some wicked-fun fast-paced techno trance club tune. Mesmerizing and tiring at the same time. Out of breath, but exhilerating. (like that Initial-D megamix 73min single-track cd)

One of our old crew suggests using "502" for a cool rally video
with lots of crashes. ;)

ImprezaRS dot com 08-23-2002 01:12 AM

Who wants to help me start up www.ScoobyVids.com with some hosting and bandwidth?

I already have over 1gb of videos, the domain name, temp 30mb site, and someone willing to help design the site :D

I figure it would need about 1-2gb storage and 30-100gb/month of bandwitdh. I can't afford that since I retired :o
ldivinag 08-24-2002 12:20 AM

stiguy,

where do you get the footages from?
FASTGUY 08-24-2002 10:00 PM

great vid, but the little kid on the trike at the end of the sega commercial just about made me fall out of my seat. good work and keep it up.

Mostly from Kazaa Lite, there are probably more cool vids out there now.
