P1 Foglights.

I have a MY00 2.5RS and I was going to spring for the STi fogcover but now I want the P1 foglight assembly. What sparked this? Well my parents got me a SUBARU IMPREZA book by Brian Long which has a detailed history of the Impreza and many many wonderful pcitures of every model in every country. Now I see the P1 foglights and lip I would rather get these than the Ver5/6 lip.
Does anyone know where on earth I could get the foglights from? For those who don't know what I'm talking about here is a picture.

from the picture it looks like its a stock foglight w/ a cover over it, and the cover has a smaller hole then the fogs themselves.

hmm...I could have sworn the P1 Impreza had smaller fogs and not just a hole in the covers.

yea, they're different fogs. I believe someone from i-speed has them, said they were pretty hard to get.

Authentic Prodrive equipment tends to be pricey.
The P1 fogs are smaller. P1's came with an optional gas discharge (aka HID) fogs. Actually I'm not sure if they are fog or driving beam patterned lights but I think that when you see the pricetag, you'll be in for a big shock.
If you're looking for the lip, I believe AFS motorsports sold a few in the past and may be able to help you out.

You've got that right over 3 years of vulturing 3 subaru boards and I've only seen them on sale once and they were sold in about 5 mins. :eek:

Your best bet is to try all the UK subaru boards since they sold the P1 model. In my experiance looking for them, I've come accross them maybe 3 times in the past 2 years. Never bought them because they were over $400 every time. This isn't including shipping. As for the lip, I belive flat4engineering has or at least had some.

Yeah we have those on one of our conversion cars. They are incredibly hard to get, if you can even find anyone that has them.
We have asked before of people were interested in having them made, but noone really responded so we never made any. Though if there was interest we might.

If you build them, they will sell.
Put me down for a set. I've been looking for them for awhile. How about a replica of the real P1 lip (the one that extends the underneath part for the airflow under the car). I have seen replicas but they just have the front piece. I'll look for a pic to explain.

They are not fog's they are driving, available in HID or normal H3, they are 90mm units with a special cover.

i have the foglights surround/covers, and not using them since my accident, returned to the stock cdn rs bumper, all they need is a little repair since one of the little holding braket is broken (a little fiberglass or superglue job)
for foglights, i used some cheap ones i found (eurolite or something like that) since they were the same size as the surround hole (the hole is 90mm in size)
i know that hella makes some 90mm high beam or low beam which fits perfectly in the hole, i dunno if its what they used on the P1 though

yeah i've only seen them once on the boards, and once on ebay with a big price tag and currency in GBP ;) so goodluck finding those, i was thinking about using stock RS covers and making some for my car. the lip i know seibon makes a cf replica without the underpieces, so its kinda flimsy (personal experience :mad: ) but i see the genuine around every once in a while on internet stores for like 500. i love this lip, so i'm sucking it up and getting genuine. one place i know of is [URL=http://www.flat4engineering.com/main/index.htm]flat4engineering[/URL]
