pic request: sti splitters on wrx (stock skirts)
Looking to see what the sti splitters look like on a stock WRX with stock skirts. Concerned it would look too low in the front. Anyone done this and have pictures? Thanks in advance.

Here's my old '05 WRX with STi splitters/scoop, and stock skirts.

The drop is via Prodrive springs, and the wheels are 5Zigen MK5's in 18X8.

what lip is that? its not the v-limited is it?
UltimateLurker 11-28-2005 02:51 PM

In answer to your question, I felt the splitters made the front of the car look a little heavy, and in all honesty, would not have done it again.

IMO, the best look is the stock WRX front with the STi skirts, and lowered a little with the Prodrive springs. No one does it, yet it looks soooooooo nice. I have pix somwhere, I'll see if I can dig them up. The stock WRX skirts make the car look heavy to me, kinda' fat, but it seems I'm in the minority there.

I honestly think that the regular WRXs look naked or underdeveloped without them. I have tons more where this came from if your interested.

This is me.

They surely do

as the wrx skirts are deeper, you really need the the rear bumper spats to set them off nicely.Unfortunately they are unobtainium here in blighty :alien:

aah. ive never seen the v-limited from the 1st angle you posted. it looks a lot like one of the lips from the GC cars in that angle.

can you put those on a wagon or do the lack of flared fenders make it impossible?
m1ek 11-29-2005 07:55 PM

how do you attach them on the wrx stock bumper? wouldn't it kind of pop out a little?
bigworm 11-29-2005 07:59 PM

you can put them on a wagon
909 eh?
Yep. I took the pic somewhere out near Carbon Canyon.

You can put them on a wagon, but you'll need to modify the splitter where it attaches on the inner wheel well part of the bumper.
WRXpiprezza 12-08-2005 12:40 AM

Can someone tell me how hard it was to install the spillters on a WRX bumper, because i was thinking of buying a STI bumper to make it easier. Just want to know if theres any hardcore cutting to it
