Tell me what you guys think, this was all done on my lunch breaks at work
Cooter05WRX 01-18-2007 06:03 PM

not bad. looks pretty good.
FromageTheDog 01-18-2007 06:07 PM

Hard work does pay off in the end, it seems. It's fun to see the work in progress.

Nice work!

need more sanding/preping on the otherhand nice job.
darkspyderxx 01-18-2007 06:20 PM

the paint is a textured gray almost cast iron looking
rcast1986 01-18-2007 07:22 PM

Interesting place to put those.

At first I thought the first pic with the unfinished paint was the final product. I was like uhhhh...
lowride 01-18-2007 07:22 PM

not bad i like the location
SwisSlesS 01-18-2007 08:18 PM

Other than the fruity center gauge, looks real good. :p

100_Percent_Juice 01-18-2007 08:41 PM

They look great. Good work! Working with glass only gets easier the more you do it.
caesar 01-18-2007 08:44 PM

comin along very well..........
kyleblix 01-18-2007 09:26 PM

hell of a lot better than i could do....
IIdiceII 01-18-2007 10:32 PM

I think you should sand it and smooth it a lot more..it seems bumpy in the pics...And maybe paint it black again, so it matches the rest of the interior accents.

I agree on the black, it looks out of place since nothing else is gray. Other than that it looks nice, good job.

as for you other guys im getting the gray dash in a couple of weeks that why right now it looks out of place, it looks bumpy because the paint i used is textured
ekw 01-19-2007 11:55 AM

I think they mean 'bumpy' between the gauges and in the 'pie shaped' spaces between.
it is very pronounced on the early 'black' photo when you were test fitting it in the car.
in this shot, the piece looks like it 'melted' .
in the later pics, it looks better, so I figure you did a bunch of work in between.
in the last pic, it looks like it might still be a bit irregular, but much better.
hard to tell for sure w/ textured paint and the resolution of the picture.
good work. quite similar (in concept) to the 'evo style' gauge set-up in brcewane's car.
LastResort 01-19-2007 12:15 PM

Really, not a bad location, I assume those were vents before? Really, it looks nice. I'd be curious to se what the end results are whe the dash is completed to match.
BUCKman_02 01-19-2007 09:56 PM

I think it looks pretty damn good! And I really like the fact that you did it on lunch breaks! now all you need is the custom MT... haha jk ;) great job!
dyno-dave 01-19-2007 10:03 PM

Looks good.
I was scared that as I was looking through the pics I saw the one in the installed but not finished, Then I looked on and saw that you finished off.

Good job.
confuzion 01-19-2007 11:33 PM

hard work pays off - looks good, at least they are not in your face like on the A pillar etc
zach_24 01-19-2007 11:39 PM

pretty cool if you need the other custom gages message me back and tell me i guartee 100% satisfaction or your money back.
MannyMohawk#5 01-19-2007 11:49 PM

so you just lost the two center vents all together?
Awd Devious 01-20-2007 04:39 AM

not bad, looks good.
sUbyt0by 01-20-2007 02:05 PM

I'm impressed.
darkspyderxx 01-20-2007 06:21 PM

bump.....
darkspyderxx 01-21-2007 04:29 PM

bump..........
eduSti 01-21-2007 04:47 PM

nice job..........I would have tried to match the color of the rest of the dash but thats just me

did you rerout the ac vents or do you just have them blowing air to the back of the gauges? dont know if it would cause any long term damage to them if hot ass air is blowing on them all the time.
