According to a Renick Motorsports thread, the scoop is 1" taller than the stock on.

I`d like to see the yellow scoop.

Will it match a Blaze yellow WRX?

ditto on the I/C guide?
Any chance of a CF guide?

Nice!

Man that looks sweet. If that's modeled after the STI scoop (bigger than stock) I'm definitely gonna get 1.
rbehny 11-10-2001 11:16 PM

what about us GC8 guys? Any plans on making a cb hoodscoop for us? :alien:
Conduit 11-11-2001 12:04 AM

Now, let's see a proper cf hood with some vents ;)
Kostamojen 11-11-2001 03:54 AM

Alex needs one of these for his hood to match :D

ellisnc 11-11-2001 06:17 AM

the weave on the scoop is 90 degrees from the weave on his hood :(
LNR Enterprises 11-11-2001 11:05 AM

I've posted a height dimension picture and some color samples on this thread.

Our Scoop will compliment Alex's car. In fact I left my business card at the SEMA booth where Alex's car was displayed at. We can lay the CF to match the same weave direction of the hood.

ATF78 - This scoop has similar dimensions to the STi scoop.

gossamer_monster & ellisnc - We shaped the inside of the scoop to direct air down to the IC. The tread above has a picture from inside the hood.

Yeah, what's the possiblity of one for the GC8 crowd?
LNR Enterprises 11-11-2001 06:08 PM

Hang in there GC8 crowd. I already talked to a few other people regarding a taller Carbon Fiber hood scoop for you guys.
rbehny 11-11-2001 06:26 PM

Thankyou:D ;)

How much taller are we talking? Hopefully max of 3/4 inch i think that would look awesome. Only problem now is that i'd have to get some sort of FI and intercooler... Thanks for the legitiment excuse. ;)

It was good seeing you out at the UCI meet, Don! Sorry, but your WRX scoop surpassed my expectations, so I have to brag for you a bit...

I have seen this hood scoop; and it is good. It's a VERY nice piece, rivaling anything Japanese manufacturers can put out -- there's not a hint of 'replica' to be found with it's smooth under-surface (to guide incoming air onto the intercooler w/minimal air flow tumble). Next to the STi replica on another person's car, this one takes the cake, hands down. Unless LNR will be developing a CF hood to complement this piece, I'm going to have to find someone to make a two-piece CF hood just to sport this scoop. I want this piece, Don. You hear me? I need this piece.

BTW, what type of coating is on the scoop? Only reason I ask is because the finish looks extremely smooth and sturdy.

Hey Rob! Thanks for the kind words. It was also nice to meet some of the folks at the UCI meet.

We are using a polyester gel coat that should withstand the elements since the scoop is an external part.

Dunno if we will pursue the hood becuse there are numerous CF hood manufacturers out there already.

But hey....keep that Audi S4 rear window visor and lip spoiler in mind.;)

VERY interested......

please keep us posted on how all of this goes.....dates....how to get...and so on....I'm game for a nice red one:)
imprezadan 11-12-2001 08:35 PM

Cool, I can't wait, I need one!

do you guys do custom work..

like say a cf hood with yoru cf scoop and some cf hood vents?

just curious
LNR Enterprises 11-13-2001 09:10 AM

We will manufacture anything that has enough demand to warrant the cost of design and production. WRX hood vents like the GC8 hoods.....maybe.
NeoGeo 11-13-2001 12:32 PM

CF trunk?

The scoop looks great LNR. I'll get one from ISR when it comes out. Now, where did Alex get that CF trunk?? That looks AWESOME!!
fastline 11-14-2001 03:15 PM

can the factory intercooler peice that mounts under the hood still be used with the new scoop?

Roof Scoop

how about a Roof Scoop in carbon
can you make those?

fastline
Azuth 11-14-2001 03:27 PM

I wonder if there will ever be an entire carbon fiber body available...

It might be cool lookin.
