PR: 2006 Subaru Challenge Events are a Go!

April 20, 2006 -
www.SubaruChallenge.com welcomes the following Subaru of America Regions to the Subaru Challenge Customer Appreciation Event series for 2006:
Great-Lakes Region
South Central Region
Mid Atlantic Region
Since 2002, the http://www.SubaruChallenge.com web-site has provided an easy to remember, centralized location for Subarus customers to find information on the Subaru Challenge format of events. Since its creation, Subaru Challenge.com has now assisted in the promotion of fourteen (14) customer-appreciation events in 8 states (Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Texas and Missouri) hosted by several different Subaru of America regions including; the Southeastern Region, the Central Region and the Penn-Jersey Region. These fourteen (14) events have hosted over 1,200 participants since the Subaru Challenge idea came about.
In 2004 the Subaru Challenge website logged over 217,000 visitors to its pages; in 2005 the website grew even larger and logged over a half-million visitors to its pages!
For 2006 we are hoping to continue the Subaru Challenge style of customer appreciation events for the newly re-aligned Subaru Regional offices and are proud to announce the following events:

Trust me, if the Subaru exec's in your area wanted to do one...we would.
DURING F1 WEEKEND? Who was in charge of scheduling this one???
The individual regions pick the dates based on what is available at each event site. Plus the Subaru Challenge's will have more than 6 cars running... ;)

I will hunt a ride for the Mid-A event closer to that date...

Glad to hear that it's a go for 2006. Of all of the different types of autox events I have been too, not a single one has matched the Subaru Challenges for the amount of enthusiasm shown by the participants. Fun for the more experienced autoxer and wonderfully novice friendly to boot, the Challenges are second to none. :)

Not fixing your car? :(
And Tara, I'd hardly call the driver a "random person." If so, you're gonna get even more leghumpers than you already have!!!

Insurance company hasn't authorized repairs. 14 days after being rear-ended and somehow they haven't admitted liability yet. I have an answer for that too though...
In the meanwhile, if the WRX is still around then it will likely be very stock and well... sucking. LOL

Yes, the old Southeast Region was changed to be called the South Central Region and now includes Texas to the west and North Carolina to the north. The first post has been updated with info regarding the 1st South Central event! :D

The Subaru Challenge events exist due to individual region involvement from S.O.A., currently the distributor for New England (Subaru of New England) has not participated in these type as of yet.

SOUTH CENTRAL REPRESENTA!!!!
Man... after this 'Lacross incident', it seems SOA went a little overboard with the region renaming ;)
Looks like we will be spending our Anniversary week in MD again!! Yippie for the Inner Harbor!! (Sept 21st!!)
3 or 4 years running now.... ahhh.. niiice. I can get used to anniversaries like this (and I won't forget ;)).
- dow
Ps. My wife works at the Durham Visitor's Center.... we are getting the brunt of this. Ick.

Thanks to SOA for moving Kansas City into the Great Lakes Region. I'm enjoying the view of the lake as I type this.
As chair of this event, I invite all of you to come on out. We have a huge lot, have fast courses and I'll be using the same event format as last year: 5 morning and 5 after-lunch runs for a total of 10 runs.
