prodrive headlights

ok, chances are, many people are going to smite me for this, but i'm used to it, so here goes...
does anyone else not like the look of the prodrive headlights for the bugeye? this guy's sellin a set on ebay, and they are color-matched WRB, and i just think they don't compare to the edm or jdm...
whatcha think?

Just buy them and spray them flat black. They look the best that way IMO...

The projector units in the Prodrives will give you better lighting than the EDM/JDMs. Most on here prefer the looks of the latter, but I suppose that could be subjective ;)

EDM/JDM lights use H1 bulbs for low beam. Prodrives/UK300s/Morettes use H7 bulbs. The H7 is more efficient and produces better lighting performance.

My UK300s are probably my favorite cosmetic upgrade on my bugeye...don't dig on the color-matched look though - mine are black (stock)...I really like the look of the JDMs as well but the clear cover on my stock WRX lights were pretty scratched and pitted and looked bad (I know there are ways to corect this, but I'm lazy) - I feared the JDM lights would suffer the same fate after a while due to also having clear covers...I guess what I am saying is I went w/ the prodrives because I figured they would hide road debris damage better...so far I have been right...

Prodrive stopped producing the lights a couple years ago. The only places you can buy them these days are either on eBay, Private for Sale Classifieds, or I believe Vivid sells the carbon fiber versions. Buy at your own risk though from Vivid.

agreed. The projector lens setup in the jdm/edms arent as good as the hella lenses in the prodrive lights?
jdms still my favorite but the prodrive lights come in a close second. It depends on what your car looks like and what fits.

better bulbs make a world of difference
When I used to run the stock lights I ran better philips xtra vision. The visionplus bulbs are better but I dont think they have them in the 9007 wrx stock sized bulb.

I have the CF ones. I love them, especially w/ the Hella HID upgrade. As stated above..."to each his own". I would get them and paint them black.
