David,
I have to say that looks pretty good.
I do have one question. Will I be able to use my STI mesh foglamp covers with this lip?
Keep me updated.
Thanks.
Richard.

Will David or anybody else be producing an Sti v2 lip for the wagon? This is the lip I want and I don't want to lose the brake ducts. I thought that Gruppe-S was going to do it but that doesn't seem to be happening.
Thanks,
-Chris
P.S. That does look really good!

I think the brake ducts are fake, either way (but, I could be wrong)
So how much is this lip gonna be?

Thanks for the feedback its good to hear positive things. Im like you guys Im tired of not seeing anything good out there for us wagon guys. So Im hoping Im giving you guys what you want. Now let me answer some questions
rdebow yes you will be able to use your mesh covers. I have a pair myself that I tried on and no problem in fitting.
Amitofu if the demand it there I will do it. But first need to finish this project.
Jimhoyd it will be cheaper then what I spent on buying my lip. It will be made out of urethane, not like the cheap fiberglass lips you see out there. I will be dealing with the company myself that will be making it. Im going to try to keep it under 400.00 I know you might thank thats a lot but Ive spent 450.00 on my lip plus shipping 120.00 and I havent got the bill from my body man. If things go well and I get a big order then Im sure the price per lip will come down. I need to finalize with the company on how much per one compared to a bulk order will cost. Hopefully in a couple of weeks I will have everything done so that I can see what the demand is for this lip. Thanks for the feedback. Dave

The WRX wagon already looks too tall. The lip you are making *To Me* makes the WRX look even taller compared to the width. Also its going to be impractical for daily driving and the driveways and curbs we all encounter. Even more so with a lowered WRX like my wagon. Next, for us SCCA antocrossers just one cone smack and the lip is history. Expensive lesson. IF... you could make the lip very narrow height wise and just simular in shape like a "Splitter" with just a wee bit of over overhang at the edges then I would like that.
But its going to be a nice lip for the showcars and possers and bling-bling crowd. You will sell as many as you make I imagine.

You know, on closer inspection I recall my previous statement. It looks like you have tried to keep the front lip as tidy as possible. It covers well the lower air intakes which I hate and its a nice clean smooth lip design. No goofy scoops/slats. Good job. It would be nice if you could show us a picture of the camera at grill level or lower to get an idea of the WRX width/height visually.
Now too bad us wagon owners cannot get rid of the side slats on the outside of the bumber. The bumper would look so much better if it was smooth and countoured instead of sticking out like a gill or whatever they thought it was supposed to be. One of the most busy, pooly designed (style) bumpers I have ever seen.
BTW: I bought mt WRX in March 2001. Still don't like the front end look.

That is great news David. Sorry to be so harsh. I wish I could shave the side slat/gill openings and have a smooth curve that matches the rest of the bumper, but oh well. Keep going, you are doing a good job and I see you are in my neck of the woods.

The STi replica lip for wagon is very nice clean, and original, I like it very much
But for someone like me who would like to make wagon look more agressive, with completly new design other than any kit out there
I reconmended this kit from RG-S Inc.
The kit is designed and manufacture by RG-S Inc. located in Orange County, California
My car is their prototype
This is a full bumper replacement, hand made by good quality fiberglass (I have personaly asked few bodyshop about the quality of the material)
Top half of the kit is actually molded out of a stock bumper, so that the fitment is nice, everything mount right back in w/o remove any bumper reinforcement. The fog light also bolt right back into the mount
I am still waiting for my side skirt and rear bumper, they told me everything will be done within a week
If you guys would like to know more about this kit and the company who makes it, feel free to PM me

too bad they didn't get rid of that stupid ugly license plate "block"
i know a lot of states require front plates, but where i live we require none... otherwise, looks nice but a little aggressive for my tastes.

I spoke to the company about that stupid plate area
They said they are trying their best to have their customer away from trouble
Like you said, some state does require front plate, specially in California, cop full you over for the plate, then they found out the exhaust is a little louder, turn out your car got an aftermarket down pipe and w/o cat... Big trouble
So they ended up keep the plate. as well as the hole for towing
You can cut it off and put the stock cover on, you can keep the way it is with a minor line, or you can fill the line and smooth out everything
BTW, the whole bumper is made out of fiberglass, unlike PU, you can do lots mods to fiberglass.
According to RG-S, modify that area and get rid off the plate is not a bigwork, and if you want to put FMIC, the bumper is also very easy to modify

ImpreziveWRX,
Could you give me an estimated price breakdown for the front lip, rear lip, and side skirts? I've been looking for a nice kit for my wagon and I'm interested in yours.

Also thanks for doing the fitment of foglight cover.:)
What type of clips are going to be used to attach it to the bumper? Factory type clips used also on the sedan?
Thanks.
