Silver Cf pics please!!!

Seibon makes silver carbon fiber hoods and trunks but I havent seen them on any cars yet. Does anyone have some pics of this new silver cf installed on a scooby? The only pics I've seen are on jscspeeds website. Thanks!

Hey!! I take offense to that!! but true, my hood (although overlaid w/ kevlar) is heavier than my stocker.

I agree, cf normally = rice, however that silver cf is pretty sick. I might have to have an alternate set of hoods and trunks for diff occasions, but just not sure of how it'll look installed.

I like the silver but I'm trying to think what wheels will look good those if you have a white Sti besides silver wheels.

Not sure if he's on here or not, but H4N on ClubWRX has silver CF hood and trunk on his silver STI and I think it looks awesome.

it aint that bad, but the hole point behind carbon fiber on our cars is more for style because then function. we already come with stock light weight hoods (stock hood is the same weight if not lighter) If you put a normal carbon fiber hood on silver it will give it a different look and thats it but silver carbon fiber on a silver car is point less stick with the stock save 400-500 bucks and buy something that makes the car faster or handle better... my .02

I'm not trying to make my hood lighter, just change the looks a little. I'm not getting rid of my stock hood, just want to switch every so often. I dont need any more performance parts, have already put 20k in aftermarket parts, 531whp. So, anyone have any pics of their own car with silver cf parts? thanks!

I think normal (black) CF looks like a nice contrast to silver. That is how I have been approaching my car so far. The silver CF just looks weird on a silver car to me.

I think he is looking for pics of a silver cf trunk, which no one seems to have.
I too am curious on how it would look on any car as I have not seen a silver cf hood on an impreza.

Just remember, silver CF [i]IS NOT[/i] carbon fiber, I always think its so silly to see it called that. It is texalium, which is just aluminized fiberglass.

Looks good but is deff. just a show piece. It is all the new rage in Japan which means that it is only a matter of time before if becomes huge over here. Stock is best. If you want a flat hood see if you can pick up a RS hood.

thanks for everyones comments! I'm not a big fan of cf, but the silver looks pretty cool. I think I'll buy a silver cf hood and be back with some pics. unfortunately it takes 4-6 weeks for shipping, so I'll try to dig this thread up after it's installed.

....the 'silver' stuff can be kevlar, rather than plain 'glass, too ;)

that is uglier than normal cf. cf hoods on anything but an rs would be rice since they serve no purpose but looks. and these silver things are hideous.
