Squeaky seat belt??? HELP!!!!

This has been annoying the crap out of me. When i have the belt cliped around me and i make a slight movement the seat belt sqeaks. Also, when you pull lightly on the belt there is a sqeak coming from the part where the belt wraps around at the top. Has anyone had this problem and a way to fix it? :(

did it work?

Yo ScoobySnacker, did this mod work? My problem isn't a whistling sound when I pull the sealtbelt. Rather, it squeaks when the seatbelt is engaged and I make little movements... any insight?
Cheers.
Cheers.

haha i got this done when i removed my wagon roof racks. i saw those pesky ribs, gave them the finger, and cut them out.
sooooo much better.

I just put a strip of duct tape vertically over the B pillar ribs. its alot quicker than trimming them, has the same effect, and is reversible for whatever reason (and no risk of messing up)

In case you can't access the Scoobymods site or just lazy, here's what I posted in the original thread on nasioc a long time ago :)
Following the suggestions and successful attempts from "fragment," "MdWRX," and "4830DeuceWRX," I spent some time tonight trying to fix this. I first took off the piece (lower piece to the B-pillar) they both had mentioned:

When I took it off, I pulled the seatbelt numerous times and the noise was not there. So my inkling all along was wrong. It was not the loop piece that the seatbelt slides through. It is indeed one of the ridges, the biggest one at that, behind the piece.

Like "MdWRX," I also dremeled the ridge and then sanded it so it was smooth. Here is the result:

So there you have it...no noise at all anymore and the fix was very easy
Huge props to the members who led me to the true culprit. I was incorrect with what I thought was the problem. Anyways, I hope whomever has been following this thread will find it beneficial. I know I have :)
Check to see if any of the four bolts securing the seat to the floorboard is loose. I know mine squeaked at one point when I moved or shifted weight in the seat. I loosened all my bolts and then retightened them and the noise was gone. It may or may not work for you. Regarding the link, hopefully my post above will help you out.
WRXakaBooSTi - I forgot all about that mod. I'm gonna have to try that one this weekend.

I fixed the seatbelt squeak while I was AT the guys house I bought my bugeye from. I read about it before hand since he mentioned it squeeked and i happened to have my dremel in my car. Pulled the b pillar off, dremeled it down quick, and stuck it back on. He was kinda pissed that was all it took  I handed him the check soon after :D

put some talcum powder on the belt and rub it in with your fingers, then pull the belt in and out, that normally solves the screaming noise when pulling the belt out.

I thing WD40 will be the best solution!
