STi Ver 5 or Ver 6 seats part 1

peepshow 10-10-2000 10:02 PM

STi Ver 5 or Ver 6 seats

Anyone know the part numbers for these seats? Are they available through subaruparts.com? What is the difference, if any, between the two? TIA.
CNC84 10-10-2000 10:08 PM

There is no difference b/w the two they are both red with the blue/black bolster and grey "suede" in the seating area. I don't know if Subaru Parts can get them or not I got mine through www.SPDusa.com Mike is great but they can be hard to get he only gets 2-3 sets per month.

Good luck
doripreza 10-10-2000 10:26 PM

what about the all yellow seats and the blue ones..
(instead of the red portion they are blue or yellow)

they were on the sti website but i don't remember which model gets the different colors
Narso 10-11-2000 03:07 AM

From what I can find, no U.S. distributor other than SPD can get these seats. I've asked both Scott Williams and Lisa at Troncalli and neither can get them. The part numbers for the P1 seats (similar, I believe) are:
Front Left seat front cushion - 64142FA750MU
Front Left seat back rest - 64152FA750MU
Front Right seat front cushion - 64142FA740MU
Front Right seat back rest - 64152FA740MU

I hope this helps somehow.

trent,

I have the V5 seats in my personal car. they are structurally identical to the seats in the turbo car you rode in, but juts a tad grippier thanx to the "suede".

omahasubaru 10-12-2000 01:54 PM

So those seat part numbers will give us P1 seats?? We have to basically put them on our seat brakets/frame work???

I would like to see someone who has done this also what do they look like??

If the price isn't bad this would be a cheaper upgrade than buying entire seats although it may be hard to sell th backs and seats off the RS... Are the Impreza L's seat brackets the same as the RS (I'm sure they are) Then I could sell my stock stuff off to some L owner.

NE1 interested in this deal... I get the P1's and you get my stock seats?? Here is a deal you buy 1 P1 seat and I'll buy the other and you can have both of my front seats!

Let me know how this all works and if anyone is seriously interested.

Thanks!        [email protected]
stewartg2000 10-12-2000 02:06 PM

i imagine the seat brackets are the same in all imprezas and legacys, i know someone that has impreza seats in his legacy. so atleast the bolts for the seat brackets are still the same. but isnt the bracket part of the bottom cushion or would this be yet another part number?
Julian 10-12-2000 02:13 PM

They don't have to be Ver V/VI seats. They can be newer GT/Turbo seats as well, can't they? I'm more interested in the form (high-back shoulder wings, harness slots, etc.) than that they are Ver V seats specifically.

Thanks for trying!

Julian

You can use the newer standard UK turbo seats or the normal WRX seats. They are all the same except for minor color changes. The stock P1 seats are also the same. The upgraded seats taht the P1 owners can order through Prodrive are only $2K if your seriously interested. Rallispec can also get you the seats. For the money you could just get the reclining Sparco seats and have some left over.
Jay_UK 10-12-2000 02:22 PM

Hi there..

Those are the P1 part numbers...

The P1 seats are the same as the STI ones.. but retrimmed with blue inserts... and say Prodrive instead of STI.

I will be shipping a set to the States in the next week or so... I will try and take some pics first.

Yes all the seats (UK/STI/P1) use the same bases and will bolt up ok.

J.
Julian 10-12-2000 02:23 PM

That's how it was supposed to be with suspension as well...but now with ver V kits are less than $500 (used to be $1200)...who knows how cheap a Turbo seat would be?

Julian
stewartg2000 10-12-2000 02:29 PM

ohh yeah, you dont want these seats unless you are over 5'11 or 200lbs. im 5'6 130, and the stock seats feel exactly the same, all you need is a 5pt harness when you race or autox and the stock seats are fine, the only seat i have found to work for me is the $1200 recaro spg. so unless i can win the lottery or something im sticking stock, plus imo i dont think the seats look all that great anyhow.
velociremter 10-12-2000 06:03 PM

That's me all the way.

Sean's took me for a very "quick" ride and I have to get them. After a long drive to Cali. in the stock seats, I have to get the Sti ones. Need more side and back support.

Matthew-

Glad to hear you like the seats! Let me know when you get em. See you at the next rally-x!

VALENTA 10-12-2000 07:10 PM

My STi seats are coming in tomorrow!!! [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif[/img] [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif[/img] [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif[/img]

I got them from SPD and I encourage anybody who wants them to get them from Mike Sheilds. Great service and good advice! Also getting the WRX steering wheel, since I am already opening the wallet, I might as well keep on dishing it out! [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif[/img]

I will get subaruparts.com the part# of the seats and the steering wheel so that all of you can show off that you got better prices than me, but I doubt it! hehe

The only problem is that I sold my leather interior and now I have no back seats! [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/frown.gif[/img]

Does anybody know the part # for the back seat or does anyone have a spare back seat?

Take care
Jan
Corey 10-12-2000 07:11 PM

Scott:

I would like the STI seats the most. I don't really want the P1 seats, I kinda got a silver and red thing going and don't want blue. If you can get the STI ones for under $1K you can count on me to buy some.

Corey
omahasubaru 10-12-2000 07:27 PM

Partsace       a.k.a. Scott
The part numbers listed above don't work on your site. So can I order them from you or not?? I need to know the prices.

Thanks.
CNC84 10-12-2000 09:48 PM

Corey The Version V/VI seats have a blue look to them in different light they look either Navy blue or Black hope that doesn't screw up the styling you have going on.

SubaruParts.com 10-13-2000 12:48 AM

With the numbers posted above, we are now working on getting the version VI seats in the US. We are also trying to get the version VI, V, and 22B spoilers, too. But we are running into problems. We need the part numbers! PLEASE HELP! With part numbers, we can get these items direct from Fuji and we will pass the savings on to the I-Club.

Thanks,

C. Scott Williams

SubaruParts.com 10-13-2000 09:45 AM

On the part numbers above, I am by-passing Subaru and going directly to Fuji and we will have prices once we get word from Fuji I will be using an importer that can get me almost anything that Subaru makes, but without part numbers, I am dead in the water! I NEED PART NUBERS! When you put a part number in the search box on our site, they will ONLY work if I can get it from Subaru of America, and most of the STi or 22B items are not here, yet. But I expect with the introduction of the WRX to the US, these parts will become more readily available.

Thanks,

Who's first in line??

Dustin 10-13-2000 04:28 PM

Whos first?
VALENTA 10-13-2000 05:20 PM

i got my V5/V6 seats with the WRX steering wheel from SPD today and I got to tell you that it was worth every penny!

I think I'm going to go sleep in my car! [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif[/img]

That steering wheel is so much different from the RS steering wheel! Different feel and different look! I love it!
peepshow 10-13-2000 05:41 PM

Hey, VALENTA, can you hook up Scott (partsace) from subaruparts.com with the part numbers, pretty please! [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif[/img] I would like to see if he can get them cheaper than SPD. Nothing against Mike S. I think he's great, but it all about the $$$$.
velociremter 10-13-2000 09:52 PM

There is the $$$ reason and the best is that he is less than 3 hours from me.
Matthew
VALENTA 10-13-2000 10:59 PM

Maybe I could get some sort of compensation?

Rear skirts or something?

I also have the WRX MOMO steering wheel part #, but as I spent so much $$$ by working so hard, I think it would be unfair for me to just dish out the part #.

I am still on a high from getting the seats and steering wheel, so maybe later, I might come around the fact that I am a bit selfish, but think of it this way, if you had just dished out over 1500$ for front seats and a steering wheel, would you be willing to have half of the other Subaru owners to have the same things as you for a far less price?

As for me, I don't really want to, but I know that this board was the reason I found out about these seats and that have some sort of favor to give back.

Give me some time, and I will come around with the part # and contact Scott personally. I know I am not the only one with these seats and that if I don't give you the part#, Imprezer will, or someone else will, so be it.

Thanx
Jan
peepshow 10-14-2000 05:51 AM

I thought the Subaru community was all about sharing information and looking out for the other Suby owners. Guess not. No problem, Jan, that's your prerogative. I'm sure someone out there knows the part numbers. Actually I know a kid who has the Ver V seats, I'm sure I can get the numbers from him. Thanks anyway,

- Trent
VALENTA 10-14-2000 06:17 AM

Trent,

don't worry! I have tried to explain myself the best I could.

I have given the part# to a member who asked for them privately and he will see that they will be used appropriately.

I will contact Scott by email and I hope you will all appreciate.

Thank you
Jan
scooby5 10-14-2000 08:56 PM

Valenta, sounds to me like you should keep some of your money to buy yourself a bit of a life.
CNC84 10-14-2000 09:12 PM

OK here are the Part #'s for the 22B seats front RH seat assy. 64101FA680 , Front LH seat assy. 64101FA690, and here is the # for the rear seat cushions rear cushion assy. 64401FA410 , and rear backrest assy. 64451FA810 maybe Subaru parts can get these in the computer too.

Chris
PS I will check the #'s on my seats tomorow and see what I can find for you.
Dustin 10-15-2000 07:44 AM

The attitude will get you nowhere scooby5. That was a bit harsh. I'm in the same boat as VALENTA, I've worked hard and long to buy some better seats. And he did say that he will talk to Scott.

db
scooby5 10-15-2000 08:25 AM

Dustin,

Sorry to burst your bubble, but a lot of us have done much more expensive mods to our cars and have had no hesitation sharing information such as how to install and even Subaru part #s.

Even if that meant others would pay less for the same parts.

The childish behaviour of "I'm not telling because I paid too much" is simply not what people look for here.
North Ursalia 10-15-2000 05:49 PM

Ahhhhh..... for instance, myself and 5 others bit the bullet to buy the authentic STi ver 6 front lip spoiler, and now I have the part number for everyone.... Scott's working on those. As for part numbers, I gladly share...
http://members.nbci.com/_XMCM/northursalia/impreza/index.htm

and look under the link for "Part Numbers." I've given that whole list to any dealer who asks for it! If you see the link for the STi flaps, I'll let everyone in on the secret... I made the patterns, and gave them to Zach because he had the materials/time/patience to make and sell them to everyone! My compensation? Nothing. I did not get and do not want one cent for that, as made them available to anyone who wants them, because it makes things better for EVERYONE, not because it makes things better for me. All the mods on the site... there for everyone. People can do what they want, and I no problems with that at all. However, I have no intention of being the Oracle at Thebes- I thought this was a pervading sentiment in the IClub, but I've been wrong before.....

Brian
VALENTA 10-15-2000 06:36 PM

scooby5,

I just wanted to explain my situation!

I emailed Scott and gave him more than you asked for! I gave him all the part numbers from the 93-94 WRX seats to the present WRX seats!

I also gave them to another member who asked for them by PMing me!

Oh ya, and I love you to man!

See ya on the Toronto club!

Cheers
Jan
SiriBX 10-15-2000 08:48 PM

Now I am still new at this, Can you guys explain to me what do you do with these parts number. I mean do you walk into the parts department and just ask them for parts that don't exist here in the U.S. Lets say I have the part numbers for the VER 5 seats, can I walk into my local U.S. dealer and get them?? or any other parts??????????????????
Thanx
peepshow 10-16-2000 02:59 PM

VALENTA, thank you for giving the part #s to Scott. I apologize if my last post offended you, but it didn't sound like you were going to give the part #s to anyone. I appreciate your generosity (sp?). Thanks again.

- Trent
VALENTA 10-16-2000 03:59 PM

No offense taken.

I clearly said in my last paragraph that I was going to go and check them, but I was not going to kill myself runng down the stairs to go get them.

Once you guys get your seats, you will se that they are very special!

Scott has not emailed me back, so I guess he is working to getting them.

Oh, and I would just like to add another thing, some other members have asked me by PMing me and I have only been able to give them the part # from the 94 WRX to 98 WRX, but my seat part #s seem to be non-existent.

I will go check once more tonight or tomorrow to see if I can find another number. Maybe SPD takes the off? There are so many nubers on my seats that it is kind of confusing.

Once I get them, I will post a new topic and send them to North Ursalia who seems to have the most accurate part# list. I say this because I checked for the Prodrive seat #s he has, and they came out from the subaru dealer and let me just say that compared to what SPD charged me for the STi seats, it was like pennys compared to the Prodrive seats! [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif[/img]

Take care

Bump.
ecfitzgerald 10-22-2000 05:49 AM

Can someone post pictures of the different seats, I haven't found any except the ones at SPD. I am mostly interested in the 22B, P1 or even better the blue or yellow STis.

Ed

Bump, and has Subaruparts.com had any luck?

Ed
omahasubaru 10-27-2000 06:08 AM

NE1 here have the WRC shift knob part number to share with partsace (scott) too??

Does anyone have pics of the back seats for any of these?
Julian 11-15-2000 02:28 PM

Bump-ola.

Anyone have word on these? TRi is running a Buy on Sparcos, and the Torinos will work just fine if getting the Sube seats is a dead issue...

? Thanks,
Julian
