as well as the quad lights there are two separate oblong (think R34 GTR)
one red one white ..
as for the photochop add a oblong red light near the trunk. bumper, then bobs your uncle.
as for the o2 WRX....i got one.. so what do u think i do.. however i tried months getting R34 gtr lights for it i only just discovered yesterday it won't fit the gtr's are 19cm for the big light and 14cm for the small un.
can someone tell me which is they;re fav so i can do something i'm stuck i kinda in between the first and the led one...(led more modern)

That "photochop" is from someone in the UK who actually produced those lights, don't pass them off as your product.
| cindergarden | 10-27-2002 09:19 PM |
in no way did i pass those off as my taillights..i suggested he try that look i know where they came from i followed that thread to the end when the link was posted up on i-club. he had the right idea when he did them i only suggested he try the same as the pic i posted i didnt take ownership of anything

You might want to look at aftermarket Corvette lenses (the round ones). If you make Afterburners using these lenses, then people could select the lenses that they want.

I've always liked convex bubble lights that were all red, and smooth looking.

Are you guys really that turned-off by the look of the stock taillights? I can understand the desire to replace the bugeye headlights, but I think the taillights look pretty good. It would be hard to make a decent looking replacement without a little custom sheetmetal work.

I'm used to the tail lights now, but I know that they are too big. They can be improved like anything else. They can also be made to look much worse (read Altezza).
The non-Altezza way to do it is by making an 'afterburner' kit out of plastic. If this is not done correctly, you end up with a bazillion tiny lights in the rear (read Morette).
Four big tail lamps is the way to go. That's the way Ferrari does it. The clever thing is that each one of the four lamps is actually two lamps. That means that you keep turn and back-up lights where they belong, not down in the bumper. All those lights might not fit, however.

Nothing beats stock. Everything else is crap.
I have yet to see a skyline conversion on a non skyline that I didnt think looked like Dogshit
The only thing that looks good for aftermarket tails are red/clears for cars that dont have them. OTher than that STOCK 0wnz all tails

wwp8, If you look at the R34 skyline tail, it has a pretty similar shape to the WRX taillights. If you can make it like that, I'll buy them. The reason that stock taillights don't look good is b/c they don't go with the rest of the car. When SOJ designed the New Age Impreza, their head designer said "round is in" and made round headlights, fogs, even round AC vents to continue this theme. But it wasn't continued in the rear so the rectangular ones look out of place.
All current aftermarket taillights suck b/c they're just rectangular ones that's clear. We need round lights, with body color matched covers, just like the R34.

true...to each his own, i guess.
i do *think* that the stock lights look OK. people slam on the altezza (sp?) lights...they're doing the same thing with these skyline lights. it sorta makes sense though since the same logic applies.

I'd be much more psyched about less expensive JDM red/whites myself. Unless they drop in price red/orange is the only way I'll go... that $$ can be much better spent on go fast parts :). If I had to pick and choose between your offerings though, I'd go with the dual round (not those hideous afterburners) from page one.
