MK19_ 02-07-2004 11:29 AM

What I am soon to find out is what actual cluster Prodrive based theirs on; as I am putting in an STi water spray system and I am curious if this cluster has the low I/C spray symbol warning light(??)
Leonardo 02-07-2004 12:38 PM

Rancid 02-07-2004 12:45 PM

Found it!

Right to the left of the security light (litle key) on the bottom
Leonardo 02-10-2004 10:09 AM

Anyone know what pin/plug on the cluster this light uses? Might connect an STi watersprayer for the FMIC.
NTP WRX 02-10-2004 11:02 AM

How hard was the cluster to install? Is it a simple plug-n-play affair?

Looks great! :D:D:D:D

Neil.
Leonardo 02-10-2004 07:59 PM

Yeah, remove a total of 5 screws, swap plugs, instal total of 5 screws. Done!

That easy!

All the british prodrive edition STi had these. Which is not many and then someone either has to wreck their car or swap out clusters.... The faceplates can be ordered and swapped onto a JDM sti cluster though.

Nice ;)
Leonardo 02-12-2004 08:28 PM

Not all as they use KPH as well IIRC!
mr2guru 02-12-2004 10:49 PM

All cars intended to be sold in the UK use mph in large and km/h in small like the cluster you have. Some large trucks that are registered with the EU have to have large km/h speedos.
ProdriveWRC 02-13-2004 06:22 PM

That cluster is standard in all MY03 STi Type U.K. cars since they do not get the Defi clusters..
Leonardo 02-13-2004 08:53 PM

So how many type UK cars were madeby Prodrive?
mr2guru 02-13-2004 10:10 PM

Might ask on scoobynet.co.uk They would know for sure. It can't be too many, 1,000?
Leonardo 02-14-2004 07:27 AM

Thread over at ScoobyNet: http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/showthread.php?p=3051412#post3051412
Capt Crunch 02-14-2004 09:07 AM

I thought the sti redlined at 8k, not 7k.
ProdriveWRC 02-14-2004 11:15 AM

Type U.K. cars are made by Subaru, not Prodrive. They are built to U.K. spec (UKDM) and receive U.K. specific componets and special badging from the U.K. customs department for authenticity on the trunk and intercooler (I know because I have the badges!!) They were first offered in two versions (MY01-02): standard STi and Prodrive version. The Prodrive version came with the rally style wing (which I also have and is different from our STi wing), front bumper and grille, and the blue-faced cluster reading MPH. These were factory built cars, not limited production like the P1 or 22B. Now, with Version 8 STi's, all Type U.K. spec cars come with this MPH cluster. The U.K. can also import Jap spec cars, but they will have the KMH cluster like JDM. The Prodrive STi Version 7 was also offered in Japan and Europe (JDM and EDM, made by Subaru), and had a blue faced cluster, but it read KMH.

Thanks for the info!
